Just today last couple of hours got in my hands a new Gpad 8.3 V500, I swapped up from a N7 which was getting idle relative to a N10 big brother due to the screen size, so hoping this Gpad gets more used.
It was a bit of an impulse decision as I saw the NewEgg $199+tax ($219) new offer so figured I'd quickly sell my N7, got $170 cash for it in Craiglists so with the $30 microSDXC I've spent $80 to move 1.3" bigger screen and 32GB extra.
Wow the unlocking rooting TWRP is a lot more fiddly than Nexus devices. I'm on Ubuntu not Windows desktop so I had to copy/paste all the command from the Windows scripts but it worked ok no bricking.
