Hidden Desk Dock and HDMI apps

So I installed Nova launcher and was looking through the activities from all system and installed apps and found two interesting ones. One is HDMI settings;
You can add it by going to Activities > HDMI and finally selecting HDMIsettings..

I have no idea if this works or not so I'm hoping someone with an MHL adapter could try?

Another interesting app I found is a Desk Dock which is pretty cool;


It can be found by going to Activities > Desk Dock and finally selecting common.DeskDock

Thought the community would find these interesting (hoping no one else has posted about these before!)

As I said at the beginning of my post, Nova Launcher, then you tap and hold on the desktop and activities will be there.

No. The HDMI app is pre-installed on stock firmware AFAIK. (GB Retail anyway)
