I ended up fixing this on my own, without messing with EFS. I changed the sim card on the account to one I had kicking around.
What I noticed changed: THE PRL VERSION
I was on 58000 something or 59000 something. Now I'm in the 18000's I believe (doing a nandroid restore right now so can't check.)
Then realized I also tried flashing SPRINT's miui package (which probably changed my PRL)

Hmm were u stuck in roaming before? Because if you were that might be my issue

First I was stuck in roaming. Then I did a ##RTN# from the hidden menu. No more roaming but couldn't get 4g. The updated PRL gave me the correct 4g signal back.
THAT WORKED FOR ME! Dude seriously thank you soo much you just fixed my phone!
Do I just install this via the phone? Someone on another thread suggested I load this tool to help with my inability to select MTP as the usb connection choice. Every time I select it in the phone's status bar, it changes back to PTP and thats the only way I can connect to my computer.

4 days of problems with mine between roaming/no 4g/call drops. I feel like I know this phone inside and out now.

That was me. Install via the phone. Copy to the sd card, open a file manager and click on it to install. Then open the app and hit menu, then enable dialer menu or something similiar, then actually enable it on the next screen. Then go back to the first screen and hit launch hidden menu.
4 days? Mine was like that for weeks but I had my nexus 4 so its all good
Anyways you should wright up a guide on it for others having this issue.
Weird - my port for the phone in Windows 8 just reads 0005.....?
I can't get it to work on either computer.
My Windows 7 computer is telling me my device is missing a Hardware ID. Strange.
Also, is it normal that the USB Settings save that they are saved but when or if you go back in they have defaulted to the first option?

Does the Note 2 have the same problem the S3 has where flashing (mostly) aosp roms will wipe your IMEI b/c Samsung didn't do it correctly with nvbackup? (or whatever the exact explanation was... going off of memory)
No one answered me either. But I'd like to know so if I need to backup anything I will.

Yeah I haven't even rooted yet - waiting to see more talk about Adam's new method. Mine had the OTA already when I bought it unfortunately.
But I did lose my IMEI on the S3, don't want to have to deal with that again if I do root this thing.

Two things. The Verizon note sells for more then the sprint. Why not sell it and buy a sprint note. Second, typing in all caps is bad form. Why do you want to yell at all of us?

Switch to another phone then switch back to the Note 2 and do the activation. The activation should populate these things for you, but if I remember back from my Verizon customer service (and ESN hacking) days, certain elements of the validation scheme are only handed out on an initial activation after an ESN swap, and will not be handed out again using re-activation methods.
