Introduction
Simply this application reverse engineers ( modifies ) HISuite, to be able to manipulate its Huawei servers' response data for installing official roms of Huawei, customarily.

Prerequisites

Hypothesis
If we boot the phone into Fastboot and setup a custom global ROM for our "Chinese" phone model will we be able to re-brand it? :confused:

Hello, thanks for your work. I was able to setup and download FRD-L09 (432) however, the install failed on my Homor 8. Is there any how to correct this error. I have tried 3 times but still same error

There's a box called "Force Auth Bridge" tick it and try again

Here’s what I did
1- Using the firmware finder entered my device Phone Model-FRD-L09
Region - C432
Target Version- 9
Which brought back two lists
Now right clicked on the File List and copy address
Opened Hisuite Proxy
Pasted in Based PKG
Copied OS Target value and pasted into Packages Name text box
Copied ROM ID and pasted
PS - l left CUST PKG and Preload PKG blank as the option was not checked
Lastly selected ‘Force Auth Bridge’ checkbox
The installation on the phone goes up to 97% and then displays error message-
Software install failed with option to enter erecovery and reboot system now
Have tried wiping the phone and tried but same error

    You're using system recovery method?
    if so, you have to use the same exact roms which are installed on your phone now.

    You can view these at:
    "C:/Users/Your User/App Data/Local/HiSuite/Logs/systemupdate.log"

    Hello, I dont understand what you meant by am using system recovery method. that option was displayed when the firmware install failed.     Maybe your android version is already higher than FRD-L09C432B418?
    Hellojust wondering if the fail is related to the fact there are no CUST and Preloaded URL specified - I. was able to access my Project Menu on Honor 8 and these are the values there. please advise as I really want to update to EMUI 9. see attached thanks again.
    PS - just out of curiosity, will I be able to root or install TWRP on this phone without boot loader unlocked?

    I've just rechecked the roms, you're on latest available rom for FDR, there is no EMUI 9 for it and 8.0 is newer version than B418

    I followed the exact instructions listed in this Complete Guide to set up HiSuite Proxy, and followed the instructions in System Recovery Rom Instruction ( Soft Bricked ), as my phone is soft bricked. The part I am having trouble with is the XML file, as I entered my phone model below <REGION name="Default">, and my model is already under <REGION name="China">, and HiSuite is still giving me the error that my device is unsupported. I tried both HiSuite versions "Hisuite_10.1.0.550_OVE" and "HiSuite_10.0.1.100_OVE", and both did not work. I wanted to make sure that I had the correct model, but when I run the command "fastboot oem get-product-model" it does not give me the model, only this: "(bootloader) hi6250 OKAY [ 0.004s] Finished. Total time: 0.008s". Is this related to the issues I am having? Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.

    EDIT: I even tried to flash a oeminfo file, with the only one I could find, which is for BLN-AL20C00, and replaced the entry in the XML file, and it still shows device unsupported.

    There's a log file called systemupdate.log at

    C:/Users/Your user/App Data/Local/HiSuite/log/

      For the future world. I was able to revive the phone.

      I was talking to the Prof and he really beared with me and suggested alternative roms and options in his tool over the time of 2 days. He is a good guy :)

      But in the end, it was always the same error. Screen stays turned off, Hisuite recovery does not revive the phone with the error message instead always at the same spot.
      I am very confident, that this error cannot be fixed with Hisuite, because I assume the error lies in the bootloader - an area where even Hisuite (fastboot) has no access to.

      In the end, after lots of trying, I was still able to revive the phone via IDT tools, testpoint flashing and with the boardsoftware of my phone (good luck finding that for free, but posssible :) ). The process was not straightforward and had its own trials and errors, but in the end I was able to flash a new bootloader and then the rest in fastboot and then stock image via erecovery. And yes, all the way without paying of course. I really despise the guys who sell wrapper tools, host some roms and then charge poor guys lots of money. They should be ashamed for the ripoff and look up to the Prof for example...

      Maybe I will explain details in a separate thread if needed. As a good example, feel free to contact me if you are in a similar position. Good luck all.

      Instead of updating directly to the phone, can we download and save the fw files? Thanks!
      HiSuite downloads the files into:
      Documents/HiSuite/Rom/

      You can pre-download the roms zip files, hit update, cancel

      Go to Documents/HiSuite/Rom/, and you will find the folders of the roms created, for example:

      Documents\HiSuite\ROM\BLA-L29-CUST 9.0.0.7(C185)\full\

      Copy the zip file there then HiSuite will skip the download.

      When you give it to repair it tells you that it is ready and then this error comes out the device does not support system recovery [emoji26]

      This error appears when HiSuite doesn't find an entry of your model in HiSuiteConfig. As @IProfessor said try to add both ALP-L09 and CLT-L09 and retry several times, eventually restarting HiSuite

      It's simple, follow this steps:
      1. Install latest version of HiSuite and don't run it
      2. Open HiSuite-Proxy as administrator and click on httpcomponent.dll, it will search for httpcomponent.dll located usually in C:/Program Files(x86)/HiSuite and let the tool patch it.
      3. Set HiSuite to use a proxy and use ip 127.0.0.1 and port 7777 as HiSuite-Proxy says
      4. Find your BASE, CUST, and PRELOAD packages on FirmwareFinder, they are needed to perform a system recovery and then insert their links into their respective textboxes in HiSuite-Proxy;
      5. Open C:/Users/yourusername/AppData/Local/HiSuite/UpdateDogDev/HiSuiteConfig.xml and add an entry for your phone model if there isn't
