I just transferred a Titanium backup of a Cyanogenmod 9 system over to a new Galaxy III phone, and everything works besides the home button.

The hardware home button seems to have no response or is not recognized.

I tried reassigning the value of the home button to back using Button Remapper just to see if I could toggle it and still nothing once pressed.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot.

This also happened to me when I first went from Blazer to FreeGS3, for some reason the batch restore did that, but I could still wake up the phone using the home button. Just reset and don't include system data when you batch restore, worked for me :)

I ended up figuring out the keycode for the home button through CWM (it's 172 vs 102) but decided that traffic was really bad yesterday morning and did the reset and restore only to user apps. Works great, and made a iOS friend a bit jealous.

Thanks!
