Ok.. First i installed the last build from zoot.. Deodexed xxdlib, then i installed jb Domination for jb... There after i installed the enabler... And put your bootanimation.zip in the right folders give it the right permissions... Restart and then all i get is a black screen.. Oh and its the blue version off rarzdroid... For jb..

Sent from my iphone... No just kidding its a way better phone... The galaxy s3 :D
it should work as you have done it the right way..
hmm.. have you tried my test animation? if that works, its the animation thats somehow dosnt work..

Its only your test animation that works.. Nothing else..

then there is something wrong the other animations. the blue razr one, try do it manually, by extracting the contents, find bootanimation.zip and place it to /data/local.. there shouldnt be any permission issues at that directory..

I need to sort out my animations for JellyBean. I've only just installed it (I don't do leaked versions) and it's WAY too fast. I've sorted it for myself (changed the FPS), just testing now, and then I'll update my files and post an update. It works fine, though. The black screen issue is most likely because they're not extracting the bootanimation.zip from the files :D

Apologies for anyone who has a super lightening fast boot animation of mine on JellyBean but I was just guessing to be honest!

Also, I'm using JD Domination 1.3.2 and the animations work nicely for me. try /system/media if /data/local doesn't work.

it seems that whatever animation i put in data\local doesn't matter ... i only get the test animation ... any help?
when you say test animation, do you mean the one ive uploaded or the one with android-text?
if youre having the one with android-text, then try download mine at post #4, and place it in /data/local/ ...

hmm, its should work if its cf-root'ed with cwm, but i havent tried checkrom, so dont know it..
just looked at their thread, and found this:
Q: I have Kernel X, my Boot animations don't work, help...
A:Some Kernels don't support Bootanimations or need special files (Speedmod, Lulz etc.). Install a Kernel which supports it, like Rage, Nimphitamine, Siyah etc.
maybe you change it through the kitchen app they made for the rom?

if he gets the test animation, either mine or the android-text one, it should be enabled, otherwise it would just show the blue samsung one..
i don' have adb and no experience with fixing permissions so that won't work
i have the android text ... tried all the animations blue ... red ... ics ....jb nothing ... only android text ,,, also i tried disabling and enabling
maybe the android text was saved somewhere so it still detects it although i have deleted ?

Use any file explorer, like ES File Explorer - long tap on file, choose "properties", then tap "change" button near "permissions".
Then check all 3 fields under "read".
Than "OK".
Than reboot.

Than write here with result :)

Delete requires Read Write turned on in your file explorer .

u mean root privileges in es explorer ? i have that enabled as well as all other settings except mount system disabled
Well think that you should mount system.. As the audio file is in /system/media/audio/ui..
Otherwise you should try Root Explorer, which is a lot more simple to use.
