hi mate,
what rom and kernel are you using? and have you tried my testing bootanimation at post #4 in this thread? if so, does that work? if thats the case, it might be your bootanimation thats need some modification.. if it is, then pm me your bootanimation, and ill take a look at it..
I'm using a dualboot on latest Siyah kernel, Omega 27.2 + CM10. I didn't try the test bootanimation because i knew it was already enabled on my rom. Btw they are all working already, I'm just having this issue where the last frame keep showing even if my phone is already in the desktop, but after 30sec or so it goes away and i can see everything just fine. This only happens with 7+fps desc.txt, while if i use 5fps my animation isn't played all because my phone boots faster. Here you can download my 5 and 10 fps versions so you can check them: Bootanimations Folder -> Click on each then File->download

Synch sound?

I got this working great using manual method (copied bootaimation.zip to /system/media) and used enable.zip in CWM. Using non-looping Red droid. But I find that my PowerOn.ogg starts while the screen is still black, and is pretty much over by the time the animation starts. Anything I can do to snch sound and animation?

Running LeanKernel 1.2 and de-odexed HD verizon rom.

3 sec delay

I solved the problem by editing the PowerOn.ogg and inserting 3 seconds of silence in the front of the Ogg file. Now syncs perfectly!

Hi Anbech, i'm pretty noob at this thing, and after going through your posts a few times i've finally managed to get the boot animation i want. But the boot animation isn't created by me. Of course credits would go to jkrough0728 for creating this halo 4 boot animation. He did it for Samsung Epic 4G but his zip file manage to work in S3. The only thing is the resolution and speed is abit off for s3. Are you able to resize the resolution so that it won't look as weird? I've tried changing the desc.txt to 720x1280 but it still looks kinda weird.
Here's the link to his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1157328 (i've mentioned to him that i would be using his boot animation in his thread and he is okay with it ^^)

Same problem on my i9300. Sure wish I could find a way to install custom bootanimations. I have tried everything....I think!

I tried to flash the bootanimation enabler on my SGS3 with a custom ICS and the phone entered in a boot loop with the android word on the screen.

How can I put a bootanimation on my phone? Putting the zip on the location or flashing it doesn't work...

I'm using a ICS rom. I haven't tried the test, but when I try the enabler my phone hangs...[/QUOTE]

yea ok.. as ive written in some of the older posts, then ics doesnt support looped animations, which the android-text animation is.. and therefore it hangs, or looks like it while the ui starts up behind it.. thats why ive made the test animation..
here is what you should do:
flash my disable-flash-zip, then copy my test animation from post#4 into /data/local, and flash my enable-flash-zip...

it should work after this.. :)

OK, now it's working. Thanks. Now, where can I find no loop bootanimations? Where do I put the zip to install it? In the same /data/local? If I have a loop bootanimation, how do I make it no loop?

Thanks!
