Thanks for your picture. I think that is the same connector, but in the FK2R you had some more cableThis is one picture from manual. I used it last year to install reverse camera in my Honda Jazz GK3.
Maybe it could help you.

Sounds like an issue related to the app you are using to read your files not necessarily with the USB or memory which is readable by the system...Hi,
Have this entertainment system updated to RC8. Have issue before and after update with listening to files via usb. Intermittently when starting the car it forgets where it was and skips to a different track. Would not be a biggie if listening to music but I mainly listen to audio books, so picking up where you left of is more important.
Have tried different USB sticks, all formatted to FAT32 and both the USB slots in the middle storage bay in my Civic, but keeps happening. Is this a known issue and are there any fixes or work arounds?
Hi, no special app being used. The audio files are MP3, so played using standard player on audio system, just picking usb as source, vs radio or cd...Sounds like an issue related to the app you are using to read your files not necessarily with the USB or memory which is readable by the system...
Have you tried a different reader / player for your ebooks ?
well maybe its the normal hrv system that makes a random playlist or marks your ongoing song as played and starts with a new one...Hi, no special app being used. The audio files are MP3, so played using standard player on audio system, just picking usb as source, vs radio or cd...
Appreciate the response, but it does not make a lot of sense as the native audio player on the system is very basic, so has no playlist functionality, etc. The forgetting it's place is very intermittent and happens maybe once every 7 to 10 car starts.well maybe its the normal hrv system that makes a random playlist or marks your ongoing song as played and starts with a new one...
Install a different audio player and give it a test ^^
Personally, I only use my phone and bluetooth... once the car starts and bluetooth is connected my ebooks start automatically, and once I turn off the car they automatically go in pause... Standard bluetooth connecting /disconnecting features with several audio app players.
I'm not sure if this is a software problem. But I randomly listen to my MP3 files on USB and never got this issue. Maybe you should try another (not built-in) player?Appreciate the response, but it does not make a lot of sense as the native audio player on the system is very basic, so has no playlist functionality, etc. The forgetting it's place is very intermittent and happens maybe once every 7 to 10 car starts.
Anyone else experienced this using USB option, for 'source' on they entertainment system?
Were you using the built in player, when you had no issues?I'm not sure if this is a software problem. But I randomly listen to my MP3 files on USB and never got this issue. Maybe you should try another (not built-in) player?
Never. Even after stopping the car and returning (e.g. past work) the player starts in the same moment it stops before.
Hi, sorry but your response was not clear. Were you using the built in player or another one?
Usually I'm using the built-in player. Last month tried also PowerAmp 2.0.9. And also this app was not malfunctioning like you wrote above.Hi, sorry but your response was not clear. Were you using the built in player or another one?
Thanks for the clarification. Last questions. Are you also driving a civic or another model of honda. Lastly what type of usb device are you using, a usb stick? If so is it any particular brand?Usually I'm using the built-in player. Last month tried also PowerAmp 2.0.9. And also this app was not malfunctioning like you wrote above.
sorry i forgot to mention, i have a 2015 honda civicHi everyone, I'm near ready to give up and go buy another android head unit...
Can anyone else please help me. I've scoured the internet and gone through this forum trying almost everything and I'm wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.
Ok, so basically I cant install any apps. Everything I've tried the "install" button stays gray. I've tried downloading to USB and downloading directly off the head unit. When I try to download off the head unit, the process stays as "in progress", never changes. I've added a picture of some info which I'm hoping will be helpful for you to help me.
I'm afraid you got an RC8 or higher version of firmware.
10.096.00.0021 this is RC8 if you do not have the honda premission application installed then you cannot install the application. You have to go down to RC6.
Thank you both for your reply.I'm afraid you got an RC8 or higher version of firmware.
So it could be the main reason, there is no possibility to install antything.
It could be necessary to downgrade your Honda Connect to lower version, like 6 or 6.1.
Try to find some more infos here:Thank you both for your reply.
It won't allow me to install the app, I've renamed it HondaAppCenter_A1 and still it won't allow me. Do I need to delete the old apps on the head u it first?
And also how do I downgrade?
Thanks again
Yes I've watched this but I don't know what firmware he had on the USBTry to find some more infos here:

Downgrade Honda Connect from RC7 to RC6
I am looking to downgrade from RC7 to RC6 and am trying to ensure I get the correct procedure. I believe I have all the correct files now, but should they be loaded onto 1 USB or 3 USBs as I am reading conflicting things?! I have a Civic Tourer with a HU ID as 6VC8. In order to downgrade I...www.civinfo.com

Honda Connect Android System
Hope someone can help. This year, Honda released the Honda Connect system in their cars, the system runs on the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 platform (yeah old I know) although it appears to be completely locked down, no Play store available! You...forum.xda-developers.com
You do not need 3 separate USB sticks... Just 1 will do.Hope anyone who has done an update to a honda connect here can answer and help me lol. Just picked up a 2017 Civic (but it's before mid 2017 refresh model) with a 6VC1 head unit. Software version

I've spent the last 1~2 hours trying to confirm to the point of confidence what RC version this is and if I'm below RC8 how to update to it.
The matrix PDF seems to suggest I need
AUD31CF.bin
ADA_usbdl_VL0.FFF.04_EXT_HFT_param02
ADA_usbdl_V10096001123_sec_14ada
And then use 3 separate USB sticks, one for each file? I've seen a few people ask this question but struggled to see anyone definitively answer them if that is the case or all 3 on one USB stick will be OK.
Then my second bit of confusion is around depending on what RC version I have, do I need to say update to 6 first and then 8 if I'm below 6? Or can any version below 8 upgrade straight to 8?
Just don't want to brick my unit so any advice would be helpful.
Thank you
edit - After a cuppa and chilling out I've gathered the jump from step 9 to 22 is because I don't need AUD31CF.bin because I am already on 31.00.cf. I also noticed in the pictures included in the RC8.pdf file they are upgrading from 0C.091.01.1123. So my guess is I'm on RC6. Will just try popping the USB stick in tomorrow with the ADA files I listed above and see what pops up.
Not sure you are in RC6... As per the images shared above by Norton3, I can find the Tegra build numbers you shared... so that would mean (if the images are correct) that youa re in RC5. Which would also mean (i believe) that the cmdroid instructions would work. Else you can always just go and install the RC6.Thank you, that's the clearest answer I've found that gives me confidence. As per the guide pdf it's two files I need to use, so I'll update one at a time with each being on the stick one at a time.
I believe I'm on RC6, as per advice above I will now try and test that by installing a custom app. Unless anyone knows from my version info above if it's RC6.
If you're on rc6 you should be able to install apps by naming them HondaAppCenter_A1.apk.Hope anyone who has done an update to a honda connect here can answer and help me lol. Just picked up a 2017 Civic (but it's before mid 2017 refresh model) with a 6VC1 head unit. Software version

I upgraded. No problems installing apps. Some people had problems and had to rename a file.Yeah I think I was on whatever was 1 below RC6. I updated to RC6, then 6.1 and then 8.0. But then I went and downgraded back down to 6.1 with the TEGRA file only. This allowed app installations.
Am I correct to assume if I install Mike's permissions app and then go back up to 8.0 (without a factory reset) this will continue to allow app installations from the Honda App Center rename trick on 8.0?
I got Spotify working quite quickly by setting some permissions, shame I don't think there seems to be a way to use the steering wheel skip track functionality. It obviously works over bluetooth if I beam Spotify from my phone.
