I doubt Malaysia's JSN-L22 will ever get the update. Even the latest built right now is very old which is 8.2.0.105. What a shame when Honor 8X is the No. 1 Top Selling Device in Malaysia yet not kept updated.
Firmware Finder seems not to work.
When vpn is active the update is gone after actualization.
Disconnecting vpn brings it back.

Yeah.. I think the Systems needs Some time... But after two days the System runs smooth and fast..
No problems so far.
In battery life think is still the same maybe a little bit better than on oreo.

Maybe they set the beta update for every registered user separately free.
So the Rom has an unlocked bootloader?

There's one available for Indian 8x on Firmware Finder.Did anyone from India got beta update. Still I didn't receive any update....
bro, i'm living in malaysia too. and here's a good news for us in here, just download the firmware first via firmware finder, BUT don't install it. just wait for the right time, if you are ready enough, install it on your own risk.

Quite obvious because it’s a beta software. Only stable builds are signed and approved.
download it as "update.zip", extract that .zip and you'll see a file "update.app", create a folder in internal storage or sd card named "dload", move "update.app" file into the "dload" folder.I checked availability for my model. It shows this.
after that, shut down your phone, and press "volume + and volume - and press power button", you'll see a honor logo and then emui update screen boot up.

It could if you wanted it to do so. Magisk does not prevent you to receive or apply OTA.
