Honor 8X Vs. 7X
I got the Honor 7X when it came out in 2017 and was lucky enough to get the 8X after its recent release. While the Honor 8X is a great phone, there has been a bit of price increase since the 7X. There's also the issue with the 8X not even being available in the U.S., and I'm not sure if there are plans to even release this phone here. But putting all that aside, I'll let you know how the phones compare to each other.

Display
The Honor 8X has a really impressive display. The 91% screen-to-body ratio means the phones stays about the same size, but the 8X has a significantly bigger display. As far as quality goes, the phones are on par with each other. But that extra screen space is definitely worth the upgrade. It's also worth mentioning that the 8X has a notched display and a much taller 19.5:9 ratio.
Performance
The 7X wasn't a beast when it came to 3D gaming. But then again, it was still one of the best phones in that price range. The Honor 8X has a Kirin 710, up to 6GB of RAM, and a Mali-G51 MP4. These improvements mean performance has had a big bump. Games like PUBG run flawlessly and performance overall is much better.
Camera
I have done camera reviews for both of these phones, and the Honor 8X is significantly better. The AI camera system is now implemented into the Honor X series, making its first appearance on the 8X. Some of the features that have been added in the 8X are Slow-mo, AI Mode, Night Mode, Portrait Mode and AR Lens.
Build Quality
Now I'm a big fan of metal unibody designs. So the 7X has a design that I really like. That being said, the 8X has the glass back aurora-style design from the Honor flagship phones. Both of these designs are solid and it will just come down to your personal preference. I really like the way that the Honor 8X looks, but like the solid and durable feel of the 7X a little better. Both phones look better in the brighter color variants.
