@Fredin_ ... The one who uploaded the rom on GitHub that says you don't need to wipe system you just need to factory data reset for installation of any gsi ...

And I think no problems of Google pay after installing ROM

I don't now about dual sim.

Gaming was a bit better than stock.

Wiping system dosen't make much of a difference. Its just a habit of mine(dosen't cause any problems though).

Anyways I'm on descendant right now. Its a bit better than Pixel Experience.

Followed instructions and not working

I have lld-l31 and followed all the steps above. Stock rom and recovery and i did get asked to do a low level reset and did that . Then when rebooting it just bootloops. Then i did another reset through erecovery and it still did not work. I am not able to get into fastboot when i hold volume down and power and now i don't know what to do to unbrick this device.

Edit: Used ERecovery and put phone back onto stock but i still want to use this pixel experience, why can i not use twrp ?

Hi guys this is my first thread

lets cut to the chase ,I flashed pixel experience gsi and it works flawless

How to install:

1.unlock your bootloader
2.if you have custom rom and twrp recovery go to stock rom with stock recovery!!!!
3.download the gsi https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-%28GSI%29-list

4.reboot to bootloader using the power button and volume down button , open command prompt and type this 2 code VERY IMPORTANT
fastboot -w
fastboot flash system system-arm64-aonly-gapps-su.img
5.after flashing reboot device ….device will get bootloop this is fine! after the 3rd boot device will boot to stock recovery and will say to reset the phone
so reset the phone
If the phone resets then that's it congratulations your phone now has pixel experience reboot device
If the phone does not reset then its ok! shutdown the device and go to fastboot and flash twrp and go to stock rom once again using Huru Updater and go to developer options and enable OEM Unlock then reboot and flash gsi
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/stock-rom-indian-firmware-c675-t3813875
After flashing stock rom again boot the device and after reaching the home screen shut down the device and again try Step 4 and Step 5
6.After flashing the gsi it is recommended to do factory reset to avoid settings stopped errors....
7.It is also possible to flash other andoid pie gsi I have not tried if you try let me know!

Since I was experimenting I couldn't record my progress if you can record it would be great!

Whats Working?

Except Hotspot Almost everything works:D

I have attached screenshots below

Nice

Can you please tell the full steps for installation( from unlocking a boatloader).... I am using Honor 9 lite ...please tell me about room can I use as a daily driver everything works fine or not how we get updates after installing a rom

For starters you need an unlocked bootloader.
    Then do a factory reset
Then go into fastboot and flash the rom using:
    fastboot flash system <imgname>

    Then reboot using fastboot reboot

    If it bootloops:

You need to be on stock rom(including stock recovery for a gsi to work)

Try doing a factory reset again from the stock recovery

Make sure you downloaded arm64 and not arm as our processor is 64bit(happened to me )

Check if the rom works for others, if it does flash stock rom and try again

Don't flash gapps if it is included as it can give forcestop errors.

The rom works properly and for me hotspot was fine and was working too. Flashlight couldn't be turned on from the notification bar but after a few days it got fixed by itself?
Just use an app from playstore for that.

    Some USSD codes don't work

    VOLTE don't work

The UI is a bit laggy but is tolerable. Change animations to 1x in developer options for a smoother experience.

Overall the rom can be used as a DD and provides a cool stock pie experience.
For the camera use GCam as it worked for me and quality is much much better. Unfortunately I couldn't take videos with it so you can use some other apps for video but for pictures GCam is best till now.

This is the rom that I felt worked properly in my device, out of around 5 ROMs I tried.

For updates, check if the developer uploaded one build after you downloaded the rom. Flash it just like you flashed it before. No factory resets necessary.

Later after everything works fine install TWRP as anything can go wrong while using a rom(but don't factory reset with it , the device will bootloop and you'll have to flash stock again, only do factory resets using stock recovery)

And don't lock the bootloader with a rom installed.

Buddy there are two files of pixel experience. which did you install?

    PixelExperienceP-arm64-aonly.zip

Thanks for sharing. Should I switch from emui? I just flashed the B187 last week.

*Any fix for hotspot as of now and can we expect it in the near future?
    *Does the camera work?
    *How's the ram management?
    *Battery life
*Does the phone lag, like, is there any lag in the UI?
*Have you tried gaming on this?
*Do you recommend this as a daily driver?

Know that's a lot of questions but would be grateful if you could help.?

    Hospot does not work
    Camera Quality is poor
    Flash light does not work
Battery is not so great but mangeable
Phone runs buttery smooth... No lag whatsoever
Gaming experience is great but battery falls rapidly
Overall it can be used as DD but you have to sacrifice camera quality and battery life

I'd love to try it out but the rom bootloops for me.
Try flashing the p20 camera magisk module
Bro P20 camera magisk modules is for oreo 8.0 it will not work for pie but the developer said that he is working for pie support
