Question Honor Magic V Google PlayStore compatible

Facebook and twitter work fine as you don't need Google services for them to work. For YouTube I've been using Vanced for years as I like it better than the normal YouTube app

How's that camera quality?

by any chance do you need outlook for work ? My fear is that I need to use Intune Company portal and I am not sure if I would be able to use the phone..

I installed outlook from aurora store so I can add my Gmail account and other emails which works fine. Unfortunately it's only for personal use not work so can't help you with the other part.

How are you dealing with other apps that require Google play services? Would you recommend with the time you have had with it getting this phone if in the US?

I carry a second phone which has gms which I use for banking apps etc. If you get this phone you need to be prepared that it won't work perfectly like a normal Google android phone. If we manage to get google services sideloaded on to it that will certainly help but push notifications has always been an ongoing issue across huawei/honor phones. It's the best foldable phone out right now but the small issues may frustrate you.

Well my Honor Magic V has arrived.
Who has some ideas of how to install Google services?
I've tried the Huawei mate x2 way but can't get the replacement backup.apk to install

I used ebay. Bq shop. Arrived in USA fast. You can change default everything except foe the launcher.

Does anyone know how to get an app drawer on the launcher or if you can?

I've had the mate x2, fold3, find N and like this one the best. Google would make it awesome.

I had mate x2 also. You serious that this is better? For example the mate x2 had really good zoom camera.

Why do you prefer this magic v? Thanks

You know I had the same question… i had the mate x2 as well and loved it.. my only concern with going back to it is the difference between its processor vs the snap 8 gen 1 and if I am loosing performance…

I dont take a lot of pictures honestly so that might be part of it. I like having the camera on the big screen and it is also good quality. I like the curve on the right side of the outside screen. The chinese software at least lets me switch default apps besides the launcher, I dont think the mate x2 let me do that but I might be wrong.. It seems like a more polished mate x2 in my opinion but the main camera is not something I considered...

Slightly thinner. Again unnoticeable.
Cheaper.
Really a mate x2 in disguise.

If camera isn't important to you, get the honor cause its still cheaper than overpriced mate x2. I miss the crisp 10x optical zoom of the mate x2 bit the honor still has great 1x pics.

You can even sign into your huawei account on the honor magic v and retrieve all your old huawei apps and pictures from backups lol. Huawei in disguise. Feels almost exactly the same

I will wait to see if honor announces the magic v with google services at the end of the month, and I will make my decision right now I have the mate xs but I want to change
