Question Honor Magic V Google PlayStore compatible

Question where did you purchase your Honor Magic V from? I am looking to purchase mine soon and looking for reputable buyer and faster shipping.

Have you tried these two versions below. I remember when I had my Mate X2 I had installed it using the below methods.
GMS Tutorial-

and Google Play Protect -

I tried to use this same method with my Magic V but I can install Backup but LZPlay won't load saying that it does not support this version and I cannot find a different version that works.

I also read that you can unlock bootloader and install TWRP then these versions will work but it's very risky with unlocking bootloader for a beginner like me so hopefully someone soon will have a way to side load Google Services

Interestingly before the event today, there was an option of buying magic V in middle east(it was not enabled but option was there along with Asia pacific). After the event, the option was removed. May be they have given up on global device considering poor sales or whatever ! What is the point of separation from Huawei if your devices still don’t carry Google services !

Looks very unlikely now that the Magic V will get a global launch with GMS - such a shame. .. I think it would be the best foldable out right now if it had GMS! I'm thinking of buying a Huawei Mate X2 (as there is one near me for sale) and attempting to put GMS on it using a guide. Is it worth doing that? Or should I just wait another year for the next Magic V (Magic X ?) which might have GMS?

Issues with my Honor Magic V that I didn't have when I owned Mate X2

1) Can't find working Netflix app, tried so many now and gave up.

2) Disney+ app opens main page, can access setting but gives error code 39 when trying to stream anything

3) When installing MicroG and associated apps, only main setting app is visible on the phones screen, the rest installs but is not visible on the desktop, only in apps (fake store, servces framework proxy, DroidGuard helper)

4) Not sure if point 3 has something to do with this but eBay app won't work, can't go past sign in with "invalid request" error

All of this problems were not there on Mate X2 and i run my Mate X2 without GMS

How did you manage to get MicroG working? I get to that stage and when I try to open the app it throws me an error and thats it

Notifications for most of my apps work fine now but for some reason eBay won't work.

Not interested in having Google on my phone anymore so didn't try on the Magic V.

I used Mate X2 before and that was good enough without Google for me, microg did a good job there.

Just go through the usual steps and log in. Then it looks like the process has reset back to the start. At this point, quit out of gspace, then go back in and long press on youtube and tell it to update. You should see that you are logged in to the play store and gspace works as normal.

Ok for guys who are struggling here.

Simple answer Gms won't work on magic V.
Simple Reason, it uses Magic UI 6, in which the firmware is made in such a way that Google services won't work.

So wait untill there's some guide which is specifically targeted for Magic UI 6, or just give up for now.

I'm using a Honor Magic 3 pro, and I needed to downgrade it back to Magic Ui5, to use gms.

Any gms installed or carried over from before upgrade is immediately removed from the device by an automated reboot.
So give up your expectations.

And other than being cheaper that Huawei counterparts, honor feels like just **** to me now.

Camera quality is much lower (zoom is straight up ****) , software is much more tweaked for non gms. So if u have the money, just take a few more bucks and get a Huawei one. Atleast u'll get gms.
