Honor Note 8 - Google Integration ROM

I haven't tried it on B352 to be honest - I'd be grateful if you would try. I'm still using my Note 8 on B332 as I don't think there's much I'm missing out on. It's also rather more tricky to create a Custom ROM using B352 as I've got to combine the OTAs.

One day I'll give it a go, but as the Note 8 is still my primary device In don't want the downtown.

Sorry for the late reply. I have tried numerous times to get my bootloader unlock code so I can root and install your rom but it gives me the same error everytime, "the Huawei I'd hasn't been valid for 14 days" even though I had the phone for over a month with a valid Huawei ID. I tried contacting Huawei with emails but they told me that they cannot give bootloader unlock code by email. I really don't know what else to try

Hey Mike, just letting you know that I talked to my wife into letting me play with her phone since she could get the unlock bootloader code. First I tried twice to install over B352 and I had no icons at all, so couldn't do anything with it. Then I installed B332 and everything is perfect now. So coming from B352 is not working. Hopefully when you have time to build a B352 it would be awesome because your 3.1 runs fast and smooth. Thanks again for your time and hard work

Hi Michael,

I got the error message "failed to mount /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.1/by-name/system" when I flash the rom with external SD card attached.

Thanks for the ROM but as you mentioned, it is based on B022 which is almost 6 months old.

Already, Nougat Beta is out for HN8, is it possible for you to cook a bloatware-free Rom from it. Will be much appreciated.

Hi,you can easy go back with Huawei Hi Suite to original Firmware or in erecovery.

hello, I tried it via erecovery but unfortunately he breaks me down without even loading.
If I go over the Hi Suite system update he offers me to switch to another version which I would like to do. He downloads the file I choose to restore. He installs the file and starts in twrp. here are two error messages and nothing happens next.

Gehe ich den weg über Hi Suite Systemaktualisieren bietet er mir an zu einer anderen version zuwechseln was ich auch tun möchte. Er lädt die Datei runter ich wähle wiederherstellen. Er Installiert die Datei und Startet in twrp. hier gibt es zwei Fehlermeldungen und nix passiert weiter.

I just got my phone yesterday and as soon as I turned it on and connected it to Wifi, the system found an update. Now I'm looking at a fully stock EDI-AL10 on B356. Do all the previous directions on how to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and flash the Google Integration ROM still stand regardless of the update? I've noticed the last update was for B332, and that there seem to be different version fof TWRP floating around. If I follow all the instructions on the first post for the B332 version, should I still be OK?

Flash Stock Recovery before you make this Procedure.Or via Hi Suite working Restore to B030


Du musst das Stockrecovery flashen bevor du über das Erecovery wieder herstellen willst.Was manchmal passiert das es beim ersten mal nicht funktioniert,dann ins erecovery und nochmal machen,dann funkt es 100%ig

Oder über über die Hi Suite kannst du zurück gehen auf eine frühere Version,B030 gehts dann zurück glaube ich,aber das sollte ohne Stockrecovery funktionieren,also du kannst Twrp drauf lassen.

Yes but you can via erecovery direct to B356 it´s easy

where did you buy the Honor Note 8?

You need not a Chinese Sim Card.

I'm using the Huawei Honor Note 8
I want to Replace the Chinese version ROM to English version ROM
Some of the instructions are technical
whats the easiest way to do this or simple download?

There is no other Rom.This is a Chinese Phone and comes out only in China.You can switch to english language and delete the most chinese Apps.
