Where did you find the stock b332 rom?
You don't need to manually flash anything - just boot into eRecovery and let the phone update itself to a Stock ROM over WiFi. The bootloader will remain unlocked, so you can easily re-flash TWRP and any Custom ROM you desire.

It should be noted that I will continue to work on this ROM. Version 3.0 was a bit of a rush job (as I made it for a friend's Note 8 which he needed back at the end of a weekend), but I will release a version 3.1 in the not too distant future. I have spent some time away from the Note 8 (working with my Xiaomi Mi Max), but hope to return to it soon.

In the meantime I have created a couple of packages to allow a B332 ROM to work in either the default 560dpi or a more compressed 440dpi mode. I'll add them to the first post.

While you can effectively adjust the scaling in Developer Options, this reverts back to defaults on a reboot - at least on my device. Does it 'stick' between reboots for you?

I am on V3.0 no manager, TWRP 3.02, no Xposed and no root. Somhow I still have some Huawei apps that I have disabled. The phone is rebooting on its own at random every few minutes or hours. I did the factory reset but no fix. This is so annoying. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.ow

The Huawei apps are likely to be stored in the CUST partition. You may be able to wipe this from TWRP. In my next version I will explicitly remove all apps asides from Backup.

Mike this is the best one yet.

So far I have not found any bugs (only been playing around for an hour).

Whatsapp works a treat :good:

"OK Google" command working fine.

Things I can do now that I could not in the last version (so far) include

set up multiple users,
adding apps to different users,
theme manager works properly for me now,

I kept switching from version 3.0 back to standard but this on first look is soooooo much better.

Thank You very much for the continued development of the Rom, please keep up the good work :good::cool:

Thank you for letting us know - i have a question: when you open the backup-tool from huawei, can you restore app-data as well? in 3.0 one could only restore the app, but no app-data - would love to hear about this! thx in advance

Some how I have messed up my whatsapp notifications. Pretty sure that's down to me.

The Huawei backup tool seems to be working correctly or at least it restored all my sms messages and phone contact pictures.
Trouble is I can't tell you too much more than that due to me swapping Roms around on a regular basis I don't have many apps with data on them.

Just to add,

Whatsapp is being a *****, I can't make it work reliably.

Think I'll be selling the phone, as great as it is for just about everything else I need Whatsapp to work :crying:

Edit>> I think I've cracked it, need to reinstall this Rom and try it out.
