Did you get an answer to this? Same situation. Want shutter speed control but no root. Can't install.

Hmmm...quote didn't work. This is regarding installing note 5 camera without root.

can i use note 5 phone apk on tab s2?

Really tired of using up data on google voice calls. I have unlimited calls and texts with this sim but no phone apk to actually make the calls

Hi, I wanted to install Mail apk, because my custom rom has Note 5 Mail apk already included but seems something went wrong when i installed rom as I didnt see the Mail icon), I moved it to correct folder and set permission correctly, rebooted, always ends in a bootloop. After reflashing ROM I do have the email app installed (but maybe its the old one because as I said I had to reflash the custom ROM again), but it crashes after starting to add an email account. any idea? I have a Note 4 910F

hi i need help i tried to put the note 5 camera on note 4 but it FC all the time i have the [N910F] [COI3] Dr.Ketan ROM I N5 port I MultiDPI rom and i did set the right permissions too. can any one help please i had to put note 4 camera back on it i think its something to do with the cameras DPI coz it dont fit the screen wen it loads but then it FC

Because it's the S6 one so it doesn't work on Note 4

Does the camera app have the YouTube live stream function and are you able to login to the YouTube live stream?

Or test if live stream works?

People trying to install n5 ported apps on their 5.0.2, im on s4 i9500 (S6F ROM - basically a bareboned aurora s6 port 1 for i9500) and what you could try, and if you have sufficient data, get rom that has ported n5 apps and then extract their apks from the system priv-app or system app folders. Then simply replace them with proper permissions in whatever rom you desire. It worked fine for me, but that's only coz i was lucky enough to get internet for this.

Your other option if you want the icons would be as @ManuProN5 suggested, if you are adventurous and know your way around apks, decompile the apk and find the icons. Then place them into the exisitng apks' that you're using.

Annndd if you still cant do the above and still want the icons, simply install the note 5 theme availablw for free from the theme store. (You will lose splanner and clock real-time visual though).
