i think a lot of worry comes from "some guy who said he got a letter"...in my personal experience this has always been excessive data use while roaming. I myself two years ago was using around 120Gbs per month and never heard anything about it.

Also, the store caring about root/knox/etc is one thing and often just depends on knowledge of tech at store....most dont know a thing and dont have to risk it. Since you have modified your phone, they can just deny you service and note that your phone is modified. They rarely care when theyre just replacing a phone. Sprint caring about the fact your modifying/improving/ruining your phone doesnt matter unless you want them or Samsung to service it..and really it's all Samsung. YOU took responsibility for your own support when you modified, that's what it all boils down to outside of taking it to a store for "service". imho

Ok before I even rooted my phone. I never checked to see, what would happen if I pushed the native hot spot button. Do you guys/gals know if a disclaimer would come up? Or even a statement saying this feature is unavailable? Reason why I ask is even though I flashed a Rom that had the patched hotspot. I am still the kind of guy that is like what if? Lol I do know my hotspot works, but as I said, was their a disclaimer present before the hack?

If your hit spot is not hacked. And it's not on your plan.

Then you get a message of something like..

"You must subscribe to use this feature"
And it turns right off.

I find it easy to consume 18gb+ in one day let alone an entire month on this device. hulu and xbmc all day :)

Now I don't feel so bad.
My record is 118 GB/month.
WiFi Tether HTC 4G LTE
Netflix marathons...

Just joined the Note 3 Club.
I'm loving the LTE radio! Now I don't have to park the phone on the windowsill.
