Question How bad the heating issue is on Mobile data? Can we use it on Mobile data with Hostspot always turned on?

How bad Pixel 6A's heating issue is on Mobile data + Hotspot turned on?

  • Very bad, mobile heats up a lot.

  • It gets little warm compared to other devices but not too bad.

  • Normal like other devices

  • No heating at all.

I am considering buying Pixel 6a this BBD sale but major concern that I have is its heating issue. I have heard that 6A gets warm on Mobile data and I would be using any new Mobile on Mobile data only. Additionally its Hotspot would be turned on for most of the time. So how bad the heating issue is on Pixel 6A? Should I consider buying 6A or look for some other device?
Thanks

Heating rumors are FUD perpetuated by edge case users who always find something to grumble about.

No problems here. I just pop it in the freezer and limit downloads to 100 Kbps. What's not to love? 🙄

Phone definitely gets warm with 5g but not worryingly so in my experience. LTE runs much cooler and is barely above ambient to the touch even after hours of hotspot.

I'm on TMobile and keep the 5g turned off. It does run pretty warm with it on. Warm=power being drained.
I wish I could just turn off the UC, i think that would be enough. Can't force it to find out.

Gets got, i stay in Bengaluru which is cooler than most of India during Summers but the phone gets proper toasty 45 deg or sometimes above on LTE network. On 5g the worry is that phone will burn up

No heating issues for me with this phone, I didn't try hotspot though.

Hotspot is fine...use it with my laptop and steam deck.
