How can I root the Moto z droid?

I'm a complete noob and I am looking to root a Moto z droid. This will be my first time rooting a device so if you could explain it to me like I am a 10 year old that would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's pretty simple... You can't root the Droid Edition.

Better idea...

Rooting is an "art" which requires a bit of experience and it's better to start with simpler and unexpensive phones because a "disaster" is even possible...

There are some different ways of thinking about how to root, but in my opinion to stay on safe side is even better go with an unlock bootloader - install custom recovery - make a full backup - root by flashing SU zip sequence...

Only problem in this way is that you can't no more update your system by OTAs but you have to flash full ROMS.... (a NO problem if full ROMS zips are available... )
