How do I avoid auto added star when redial from call log with 4 digit numbers

Since JB upgrade the only thing that I didn't get to avoid is that when I redial with a four digit number such as 3171 etc. it adds a * before the number.
For example: first i dial 3171, then when I try to redial from call log it's adding a * so the number comes out as: *3171.
So any idea how to permenantly avoid it so if I want to redial from call log it will be 3171 and not *3171?
