Hi all, I have a question, when I open Firmware Finder I have a list of 4 FullOTA (see attached screenshot), all with the same release date, how can I choose the right one?
I have the M3 LTE and I picked the highest one with 92984 number (bottom right corner of item on list).
I don't know if I have done it right (if something goes wrong, I would go with ADB and other tools). So if anyone know what are those numbers, it will be helpful ;) .

After the update, I have done a factory reset.
As today, after 5 days of use, I didn't notice anything wrong.

If you use the proxy method with Firmware Finder, only one FullOTA appears in the Emui updater. Just choose that one.

Thank you @JJ86 and @afonsov!
Update yesterday, everything seems all right. :)
I see also that there is an OTA issued on 2017.07.11, do you know if this is an additional update for 7.0 firmware?
In standard conditions the official updater does not find any new update.

Me too, after the full OTA. So I've installed the one of ~500MB size with FF; there is another one of ~200MB, but I don't know what it is.
I will search for further info this week-end if I can :fingers-crossed: .
@If He Dies, He Dies sorry, I don't know what could be the cause of your problem

Hey, I've also bought M3 LTE a few weeks ago. I have a few questions regarding firmware finder...
At the moment I have build btv-dl09c100b012.
In firmware finder I can see an update to btv-dl09c100b303, is this the android 7 build?
When I then click on the update and choose "check firmware access" "with IMEI", I always get a message "the firmware is not approved for installation". What exactly does this mean? Can I not update to this build? Or should I ignore this?

Thank you!

After upgrade does unit have Bluetooth / WiFi interference?

You chose the complicated way to upgrade. My input ( above ) for how to upgrade is a lot easier and is less riskier as Huawei's upgrade software is involved. Your call, but if you hit a brick wall on other ways to upgrade, consider my suggestion.
As you can see from another thread on this form, the mediapad M3 has Bluetooth WiFi interference. After upgrade to nougat and new emui, are you only limited to 2.4 gigahertz WiFi? And, when Bluetooth is on, does the unit have WiFi degradation?

This check was useful for me in order to understand if I was installing the wrong firmware.
You should not ignore this, AFAIK.
Before you continue, you should pick one of Full-OTA (which is ~2.50GB) then check again if it is valid with IMEI.
I don't have the tablet with me, son I can't give you more info.

Hey there,
the strange thing is, that every Full-OTA is not valid. I've checked this several times, with IMEI and also without IMEI. Every check is invalid.... I do not understand why...

Here’s how I upgraded. Reposted from another forum.

The update checker was a non-starter for me until I used it with firmware finder and bypassed having to use a micro+SD card in order to upgrade to EMUI 5. First, I picked the 2.5gb file option within firmware finder which is basically EMUI 5, chose the get an update using dns beta option. Added the dns address that firmware finder provided to my wifi settings by holding down your wifi, choosing modify network, tick advanced options, change settings to static, and then change the dns to the one provided by firmware finder. From there, it downloaded the file, but once finished it passed it on to Huawei's upgrader app and it took over from there. Just remember to remove the dns address from your wifi settings when finished. As I mentioned didn't need to use a SD card and once finished, checked the Huawei updator again and there was another small update available. I thought it was the easiest way to upgrade without having to do too many steps. Once the file was passed on to the Huawei upgrader, it did all the work.
Can I upgrade that way if I am already rooted and TWRP installed?

That's great, but where and when did you guys buy these m3's?

The one I bought from Amazon 6 weeks ago has not offered an OTA.

I never got an OTA on the one I got from Newegg back in November, then did the firmware finder last week, that got me from 6.0 to 7.0. since then I have gotten 2 OTA's without any action on my part. Kinda ridiculous.

Oops, of course as soon as I posted my question, I picked up the m3 for my second "updater" check of the day, and there it is! Installing now. Great, because I really don't like EMUI 4, and didn't want to configure a different launcher just to get by until EMUI 5 arrived.
