Sign in like you would with any android device and head to the play store and purchase a paid app on that drop down box it should have your $25 credit.

Sorry for bumping up this old thread, but I can't seem to get my $25 credit! I followed the instructions from every single posts in this thread and none would work. I keep on getting the error message about my credit card not being eligible for the promotion. I thought if I just delete the card from my account and re-enter it after the factory reset it'll work, but it doesn't. I know I didn't enter any information incorrectly because my Google Wallet account does show the green checkmark.

Does anyone here know what's wrong and what I can do about it? I just bought the Swift Keyboard with my CC because I couldn't wait anymore and I was afraid that I'll miss out on the sale. The stupid $25 credit should have went towards that!

What's their number?
So I finally found the number and called Google. The rep told me the issue will be escalated to a different department on Monday and I should get my credit.

Have anyone here had a situation similar to mine? Will the escalation eventually lead to a resolution where I'll finally get the $25 credit?

I guess I'll have to call them too, didn't get my $25 neighter. Maybe it's because the device isn't available yet in my country?

Is anyone here having difficulty claiming their $25 credit? The Google reps are so unhelpful here. They're telling me that I need to use a Gmail address with my Nexus 7. Why do I have to when I already have a Google account (non-Gmail address) that works with my Nexus 7? It's not like I can't access the Google Play store or my Google Wallet account. Everything works, but he's asking me to inconvenient myself by having my purchases and credit on a new account going forward.

Is anyone here using a non-Gmail address Google account without any issues with their Nexus 7?

When you go to the play store select an app you want to buy.
It will ask you if you want to Pay With: Credit card or Google Play Credit.
Select the option to use Google Play Credit. And then Input credit card information.

I preordered my nexus and got it when it was released but I didnt get the credit at the begining.
I did a factory reset recently and added a new credit card on google wallet and the credit showed up.

If I buy a used nexus 7 which have been reset and the previous owner took the credit.

Will I also be able to get the credit?
