How do I move my Apps 2 SD without having root access?

I've tried rooting my device using the Unrevoked method which says it has worked fine.. but when I go into my menu I don't have Super User access.. I also can't use Titanium. I was mostly doing it on order to be able to move my apps over (as most posts I'm comng across seem to need root) but a few rooting methods I've tried just don't seem to work.

I have a desire with FroYo installed. Any help would be much appreciated!

I rooted my Desire 2.2 but this does not give me the ability to move all apps to SD. In fact in 2.2 you can move apps that will move already from the manage apps tool in settings. In my experience rooting is pointless in 2.2 if all you want to do is move apps to SD

That is sooooo not true, infact the main advatage to rooting and using apps2sd is the dalvik cache getting moved to the SD-EXT, my dalvik cache is 75mb+ and froyo apps2sd isnt able to move it ...... so thats over 70mb i have extra over a unrooted froyo user :)

But surely dalvic cache isn't an application?

I can vouch for the OP saying he couldn't transfer all apps to SD card even after unrEVOked. I rooted my Desire 2.2 w/ unrEVOked 3.22, and although I got the little black ninja in the apps menu, not all apps are movable by either the System settings or Apps2SD.

From poking around in the forums, I came to understand that one needs a custom ROM as well for moving all files to external drive. (Correct me if I'm wrong here)

My problem is I just can't seem to get Unrevoked to make a difference (even though I got the 'Triumphant' screen at the end a number of times).

Someone told me that they managed to hack the apps without rooting, but I can't seem to find any info on doing such.

What A2SD+ does is make Android think the EXT partition on the SD card is the internal memory by using a symlink. Using a custom ROM with A2SD+ in it and making an EXT partition on your SD card means the internal memory is just used by app data and not the app itself. This means you can install more apps!! :D

Unrevoked would not root my 2.2 I had to downgrade to a lower hboot.. then used a gold card. If your rooted you should have superuser access, and the other most crucial thing you can do is access recovery so you can use nandroid.. I would install a custom rom.. recommend auraxTsense 8.2... awesome! It has apps2sd + too
