How do you get the plastic cover off the keyboard?

SO the Shift has two of thos plastic covers on the sides of the keyboard. How do you get them off? They look to go beyond the keyboard so you can't get to the back edge to peel it off.

Once you get it mostly peeled up, gently tug the remaining out and it'll come right off. Not so hard you tear the plastic.

i did it by sliding the screen down a little and pulling. it came out easily after that
