Can you make a picture with the wire ?I tried PrinceLC 's method. I used a bare wire, laid it across the pad on the back, taped the ends down. I might use some kind of superglue if it comes loose. Anyway it works NOW!

ChiefWilNel method works, at least for now and the LG G5 GPS now turns on in 2 seconds and gets more than 20 satellites signals even indoors, range of 15mt max and 3mt min. This method is much simpler and effective than soldering the board or damaging the pins which are for volume control.I tried PrinceLC 's method. Would you share with us a guide of what you did? It seems to be a good solution to gps problems. In the upper right part of the phone chassis between the 3.5mm port and some golden sticker there is a little white grey-ish sticker (You can check iFixit pics of G5 teardown and you will see it clearly), just right there i put a little bare cable no more than 2cm and with J letter shape, then put the curved part of the cable on the white sticker and tape the other end of the cable... and that should work.Would you share with us a guide of what you did? I think the fix will hold because was almost 2 weeks since i did it and the GPS still works great, unlike the bending pins "solution" that only worked for only a week for most people. If you have questions, let me know.

A very thin one, like the headphones cables i used. Make sure to use a lighter to burn lightly the bare cable in order to remove the insulating layer, if not the cable won't make contact with the GPS antenna and the white space in the phone chassis. What material of the cable ?
Sorry but can you send a picture ???A very thin one, like the headphones cables i used. Make sure to use a lighter to burn lightly the bare cable in order to remove the insulating layer, if not the cable won't make contact with the GPS antenna and the white space in the phone chassis.

I don't want to open my phone again and take pictures, since i don't want to push my luck with the GPS... but what i show in the pics is exactly what i did in order to fix the GPS on the G5. The bare cable should be quite small and thin.
how you fixed the cable ?![]()
