How install ClockworkMod Recovery without root access

As in the title i want to know How install ClockworkMod Recovery without root access.
I want these because my p920 has gingerbread 2.3.5 v 21a kernel 2.6.35.7+ and my pc does not recognize my phone.nothing not adb not mass storage so i can t root my phone via superoneclick.and i dont have any cwm instaled on my phone.
Please help me.
Is the last solution puting another rom?
im afraid to do that because i might brick my o3d.
can you recomend a rom for my phone?

as far as i know, u need root access to install CWM Recovery, so, if you have v21a in your O3D, i recommend do a factory reset with the original recovery and if your PC still not recocognize the device, reflash v21a but remember, with the baseband in v21a many people has ghost calls.

so the only way to get GB is wait for a new exploit to get root access in the other version of GB or flash a rom with froyo, the new acura rom v3 its good, im trying this rom and maybe its the best froyo rom for O3D

btw i didn t have gost calls problem.

1.- use v21a firmware to get root and then flash CWM

l.e:well i tried it man but my comp does not recongnize my phone at all.it is just charging when i plug it in.
and i cant get the phone to start in download mode.wathever i try the phone just boots up normaly.

do you checked USB Debuggin on?

go to settings/aplications/development and check USB Debuggin
and verify if you installed the last drivers from LG

for baseband flashing u need to do in a PC with an Operative System in 32 bits, because OMAP driver are for 32bits, not abaible for 64bits

i an trying to put it in download mode still nothing it just boots up normali.

try this

1.- power off your phone
2.- remove battery
3.- push Vol+, and hold it and then connect your USB cable and wait dettection in PC, when you hear the sound in the pc detecting the device release Vol+
4.- Insert your batery

with this steps u can get download mode, just try and try, fisrt time its a little hard, but after that its easy

i tryed.pc still doesnt recognyze.i tried in w7 and xp sp3.
can it be a broken usb cable?it is charging when i connect to pc but maybe other wires are broke.

would a hard reset do a diffrence?

do a factory reset in recovery (3D botton + VOL- + power) and wait the phone to enter in recovery, and then just do a factory reset.

before that just remeberber to make a backup of your aplications

because i done that one yesterday and didn t solve anithing.
How cand i make a backup of my apps?

there are many ways to backup your aplicattions, just do a search, but u need to find a ways to make a backup without root.

about the factory reset its not the same on the settings, with a factory reset you will delete all the user data, thats mean, after this "clean" your phone will boot like the first day, in factory state

man for your case you can use "My Backup" app, free from market and no need root access, try it

with factory reset u need to enable USB debuggin again, if this not work try to reinstall drivers, and if still not work, well i dont know what is doing this issue

apparantly theres this way which works for p970,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22852277#post22852277 but i dont think anybody has tried it for the optimus3d , you need ubuntu to try the method, i guess you could wait for someone to verify if it works

maybe works, but as fas as i know, there is no bin files with GB for Optimus 3D yet

well you can actually get "a bin file" from the kdz by using the lg flash tool, not sure if that would work or not, but theres no way to get the .fls file which i think is needed

Here is how to root a v20 GB Optimus 3D. I used it this morning to root mine and it worked great. I have the Rogers LG Optimus 3D P925G v20c

After you have rooted you can install Clockwork Recovery.

If anything goes wrong use the LG Updater Tool and Run the Recovery Update option that is supposed to fix problems with updates.
