Great that it worked. I had the same dillema when I got my first 701 and then remembered the Asus backup app. For now this works well.
I will unlock and root and use TB first if I know for sure that my 3rd 701 doesn't have the dock connection issue

I think it won't but you can give it a try by copying the apk to the other device and install it.
