I have had this tablet for a week and am very happy with it! Rooted and have cm 10 nightly. The only thing I would change is the speaker grill. Why it is on one side in the back. The Nexus 10 got it perfect... a speaker on each side of the front. That is my only gripe so far. Overall great tablet for a good price.

Mine does the same thing, and gets into the "sleep of death" sometimes. Tried their useless advice of factory resets and the like and that didn't help a bit. Just sent it in to the service center yesterday to see if they figured out how to fix it since I know I'm not the first to have that problem. I'll report back when I get it back on whether or not sending it to them was worth the time.
Got my tf300 back 2 days ago and so far zero problems. Not sure what they did to fix it but it works for me. No WiFi toggling off, sleep of death or random reboots.

IMHO

And I'm wondering what the ration actually is, a person that has a 100% working tablet would not create a topic to complain, so we see a lot of complaints and less praise.

I've had the tablet for a few days now, so far I'm happy with it. Of course something could always be better.
I have had mine for about 6 months and stock lasted about a day. I have tried just about every ROM and Kernel out there and have settled on this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010108

Excellent ROM.

Just my opinion of course but am now happy with TF300T !!

I'm happy with mine. It's all stock normally I would root something android immediately but I'm waiting for a method that doesn't require unlocking the bootloader. I just don't want to void the warranty just yet.

One thing I'm concerned about is the power connection seems flimsy and is very lose.

I agree. They could have put a better quality charger/data cable with the tablet. I went ahead and ordered an extra one just in case. You would think they would've put more of a flexible rubber coating on the cable rather than the hard plastic that comes on it. I've found from past experiences with headphones that the hard plastic can and will crimp and eventually break the wires over time.

Hmmm, I'm going to write Asus about it and make the suggestion. :D

The other thing that concerns me is the actual connection point is lose and seems likely to break.

Just found out no ad hoc wifi which makes it a PITA to tether.

I'm not satisfied with the tf300 at all because of the bad performance. It is pretty slow and got too many lags. I expected that it is as fast as my S3 but it isn't at all. I I'm thinking of sending it back.

But I love the concept with the dock, so maybe I will keep it even though the bad performance... :(

Regarding that connection port. If you unlocked the boot loader, you are out of warranty. It'll set you back $220 to fix it.

After flashing a custom ROM and overclocked kernel, no more lag and the performance increase is amazing. My tablet is running great. Just got the dock/keyboard too and it's nice. I'm typing from it now.

One of the reasons I haven't unlocked it.

On that note it's pretty crappy that they would not warranty an obvious hardware problem just because the boot loader was unlocked.

Well we are on a forum for mostly support so it always seems overlooked that the people who are vocal have run into a problem. The user that has everything running fine and the way they want probably aren't going to look up xda forums and make a profile just to start a post saying this tablets great! Hence why everything you usually read is negative or something that has gone wrong. That's why when I'm looking at getting a new device phone/tablet/computer I never look at what someone says about it on a forum. I read a review on engadget and play around with it myself. I got this tablet because for the price and the processor is awesome. I have very rarely run into any problems short of user error. Love it and it replaces my laptop for any portable computing.

In my opinion its a fantastic tablet if you are using a custom rom (but that´s why I bought it )
Never had any problem with it since I bought it, so yea its nice, smooth and fast.

I am pretty happy with mine running Black Bean #6. I can't say much for the stock rom because I only used it for 15 minutes before rooting and installing custom roms.

My only disappointment is there isn't a camera flash or haptic feedback. It's actually quite sad, every device I've ever owned has had haptic feedback. My first cell phone was black and white about 10 years ago and even it had haptic feedback, yet Asus just couldn't add it in. They went a few extra steps by adding micro SD slot and micro HDMI output that not every tablet has, yet took shortcuts with the flash and haptic feedback that virtually every device has. Just a little illogical to me.

I totally disagree. People that come to XDA are not here because their device dosen't work and they want to fix it (the average joe would just return it and never dare do that we XDAers do). XDA if for tinkerers, techies, the highly technical and power users. Most people here know are their is about their device before getting and and want have root access and use custom ROMs to maximize their devices potential.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The majority of the people in here come to learn what their device is capable of and to modify so they can improve performance over what stock offers. I would think that the majority of the people who aren't happy with their TF300T(G) haven't even visited XDA. :good:
