How many of you have you experienced ghosting on Titan's screen?

And how do you define "ghosting"?

This is the only thing that bothers me before getting a Titan.

Thank you.

I just ordered my titan, so I can't say for sure, but I pretty sure ghosting stopped being a problem in early 2010, and I have never seen any portable display with ghosting issues. It will happen if the device is too cold, as the pixels start freezing... But what makes you think this would be a problem?

Ghosting is what happens when you have slow pixel response time and colors are most notably slow to change. The effect is that animations will leave a ghostly trail behind them as they go, usually lasting a second or two.

These are some of the comments in wpcentral review of the Titan:

But the HTC Titan... Big but felt nice and balanced. Camera was nice including the quality of the FF camera. What I noticed was huge amounts of ghosting. George Ponder says there isnt any ghosting like the other HTC devices but that is the first thing I noticed on the Titan was the ghosting. I didnt even know that was an issue and this review was not out when I looked at the Titan about four days ago.
- When scrolling on the homescreen the letters are a blur.
- Web browsing was not very appealing because whether scrolling on full screen or zoomed in scrolling, the blurring effect was such a turn off I stopped demoing the phone, but not before going to the same websites on my phone, the Titan and the Focus S. The Titan was the only one with the ghosting effect.
Hey George, Thanks for replying to my comment I made. I went to another ATT store that had the S and Titan on display. (The phones did not have the demo software on them and the salesman didnt even know they had the phones, typical, but I digress). I dont know if it is really called ghosting but if you have the Titan available go to a site on two different WPhones. I tested gamespot.com. Slightly zoom in and scroll up or down. The words turn into a blur while moving. This blurring effect does not occur on my focus or really on the S either. Perhaps Im just fixated on it but Im sure Im not the only one, lol.
You can check the review here (the review itself says there is no ghosting):

I am a bit confused. Is there ghosting on the Titan or not?

I'm still waiting for my Titan in the mail but I did notice some ghosting on the one I played with at the store. I'm hoping it's not too noticeable on the device I receive. The ghosting on the Focus S is much worse though and the main reason I returned it.

I'm not going to term it "ghosting" but there is definitely some image degradation when scrolling; it is especially noticeable with words, like on the app list, web browser, twitter apps, etc.

Is that when you scroll extremely fast?

I think I've seen that on various devices including the recent ones from Nokia as well as Samsung Nexus!

If you push the scroll extremely fast that where the S-LCD/LCD coughs up! But on normal day to day scrolling you won't notice it as such.

However weirdly enough, I only see this for milli-seconds and on abnormally quick scrolling. Normal day to day use don't show it on my Titan. Unless someone wants to make a video and show me what am I missing! :p

I can agree to the term that the Titan is ghosting when scrolling in the menu.. U see it especially on the text under the tiles in the full app list.. Black and white background doesn't make a difference either for me.. I think the ghosting is the same on both.. BUT for ME it doesn't make a point, because ghosting isn't that bad to watch when it's on a small screen.. My eyes don't get tired from it either, because you don't scroll the screen up and down for several hours.. Can't see why this should be such a big deal either..

Go to a text app like twitter, or even the app list. Scroll at normal speed and look at the text.
