i just broke my samsung galaxy s4, and took out ye ole Senny. I just love it! Unfortunately, I broke the antenna :( And it doesn't help that it broke near the connector, so it needs to be resoldered to the motherboard. I didn't want to risk ruining the whole motherboard, so I decided to keep it WiFi-only (it works perfectly except cellular connection). Right now I'm looking for an up-to-date ROM for daily usage, any recommendations? I prefer Sense :)

I have a Note Edge and it's a whiney b*tch.I really miss my Senny...I still have it (are you hearing this, you Samsung piece of cr*p ?).
A new ROM and a swap partition and we should be good to go.

I still have my Sensation. :) And my girlfriend still as hers too. But I've dropped mine quite a few times last year. :( And the battery doesn't last no where near as long as it used to. :crying: I was thinking about getting a new phone but I recently saw a way to have more internal storage than 1GB. I wonder if you can add add RAM to it somehow as well.

I moved to M7 in the last week (I bought an used one for 85€). But I still own my Sensation XE, i'll probably give it to my mother as second phone.
No plans to get rid of it yet, even if it's becoming old and slow (cause of facebook+messenger apps, but delete them and the phone will still work great!!!)

As the title says really. How many of you still have the Sensation? I've had mine 4 years this June. Its still running ok, but seems very slow now. Also extramly limitied with the 1GB of internal memory compared to other phones now.

I think its time to say goodbye and maybe use it in my car for GPS.

Anyone feel the same? What phones have you thought about going to?
great phone actually with limited app run with it. but recently heat up quickly and battery drain fast.

hope to go with mi5 :)

Installed ivanich's CM13 today on my Sensation. Usually, I change phones when they die, but I use them only to call/read books/gps navigation, so, basically, they can live forever. Also, I never flash gapps as all my applications can be found in f-droid (fbreader, osmand~, davdroid, opentasks, firefox, tor, strongswan).

Have been using Senny as a daily driver since 2011, last almost 2 years with CM11 by ivanich (thx buddy!). Using GApps nano + Google hangouts + FB messenger **** + Locus Pro + a few tiny apps. No problem with battery drain, hope it'll never die. :)

My Senny is still in use, never stopped working since 2011, best phone I've ever purchased.
Unfortunately it isn't good for daily stress usage, most for the battery, I'have changed for a Z3 last year, but I still use it sometimes.
All in all these new devices like Xperia X and Samsung S7 are not that innovative, only faster, with better cameras and with touch id.
Hope to see something really new in 2017.

Bought in 2011. Still using it with CM12 from Ivanich.

It does have lags and slight patchy performance due to CM12 but its all good and not frustrating at all.

I have a habit of keeping my phones for long, the last one before Senny lasted for 4 years before it died. I am going to keep Senny until its hardware refuses to function at all. :D

I still have my Sensation, with SlimROM. In fact I had to resurrect it again due to a screen failure with my current LG-G3 :(
So I am still happy with my Sensation !

Still have it since launch as a backup phone/travel phone, on CM13 by invanich, no gapps. Wonder if we will get Nougat... not holding my breath though; plenty amazed already with MM.

Still got it! It's showing the signs of ageing but hopefully it'll last till end of 2016, when it'll become backup phone as i'm planning to buy the newest htc flagship (not the current htc 10.)

I still use mine on its 2nd anker battery (first one bulged and was changed under warranty).

I'm on CM 11 2015 Feb. I had loads of issues on Revolution HD (constant crashes). CM is more stable but the light sensor only works intermittently which means I have to switch off the screen before I put it against my ear when on a call (same with Rev HD). There's a very noticeable delay when doing anything (switching the screen on, going to sms, dialler, bringing up the keyboard). I tried removing the animations but that didn't work very well and it actually caused some issues (the keypad would not come up during a call and had to select it, cancel it and then select it again) It still crashes once in a while but not too often. The search button just brings up a google search so doesn't look for local apps which was probably the #1 feature for me. I don't rely on it for my daily alarm anymore (even with timely) as it has let me down way too many times. (oh great it has now crashed as I was typing this). The speaker volume is too weak for sat nav purposes (if you rely on turn by turn commands) and my Samsung Ace or any other phone I've tried is/was much better. The back case while OK when new, doesn't fit snuggly anymore and there is quite a lot of flex (never had this problem with any other Android phones). This is a problem because the car dock (from HTC) needs the USB port to be perfectly aligned or otherwise it won't mount at all. I found that squeezing the phone while aligning it with the dock sort of fixes that issue.

While I had the original HTC Sense rom on it, it was fine when it was new but I don't think it was ever possible to restore it to factory defaults. Sense stores its crap all over the place. I once deleted nearly 8GB of "temp" files. I later learned that Sense considers music and some essential system files as temp files. The software was just junk and Rev HD didn't help much which is why I'm on cm11 now.

I have constant reminder of how bad this phone is as my super basic entry level work phone Vodafone Smart 4 Power has been functionally fine for nearly 2 years (only one single crash). Haven't had to mod it or fix any issues and works just fine as a phone/sat nav. Barely any lag when doing basic things like phoning and texting unlike the Sensation. If Xiaomi and other phone makers didn't start sealing their batteries in and removing the sd slot, I would have changed it ages ago.
