Still using Sensation as a daily driver, I have bought it second-hand in February of 2012. Had to buy a new battery about 2 years ago, I'm on Ivanich's Cyanogenmod 11 (Android 4.4.4 KitKat), version from around September 2015. (which has proven as the most reliable one to me), and it still works great. I haven't installed many apps because I didn't want to overload its memory, since it's relatively low on RAM, I have only like Viber and FB Lite from 3rd party apps.

HTC sensation was my first smart phone Since 2012.
I was one of those unlucky, where WiFi stopped working long time back. It's unlocked S-OFF with Android 4.0.3. Tried all methods available online to make Wifi working, but no luck . Except Wifi everything else is great. I am still hopeful to somehow get Wifi working and re-use it. It's like the first love.

I still use my HTC Sensation as MP3 Player while doing sports, as car navigation; navigation on outdoor activities; some apps I use at home e.g. lights, weather, news feeds...
Used it for ~4 years, and 3 weeks ago I switched to the HTC One M8S. Way faster and bigger, better camera and battery. Enjoyed the Sensation for the time I used it.
For how long lasted it? Mine arrived Fresh Today and I am Eager to Flash a Rom then.
