How to access the original search feature after installing cortana (alpha?)

I have a Lumia 625 here in Germany and have just installed the dev. preview Cortana alpha.

Now when I hit the search/magnifying glas symbol it starts cortana. How can I access what used to come up on hitting that?
For instance when I want to scann a code or whatever?

For the Bing Vision feature in particular, it's just a lens; you can get to it from the Camera app, or you can use one of many apps that will let you pin a tile for it to Start. Not sure why it isn't *easier* to pin it to Start, or why there's no Vision icon for Cortana the way there's a Music icon, but c'est la vie.

I miss the images-with-hotspots thing sometimes. Would be nice to be able to have the features of Cortana but with the old Bing background instead of the glowy blue circle.
