So what happens when all the abve has occurred and now in TWRP it states, Sideload failed?
Reboot recovery and reload adb sideload, no luck after that then open sdk manager and update all 4.1 and 4.2 items until it says installed. Then restart your computer and recovery and try again. If all still fails use the toolkit in xda and follow instructions for relocking your boot loader and flashing the official RUU for your carrier than root again

when you go into the main part of recovery, and you type adb devices it show your device and say recovery off to the side?

Hello, I'm trying to follow what you're saying to do in your instructions but it's just not clicking for me. I accidentally wiped my phone clean and now I have nothing on it except for TWRP recovery. I can't get my laptop to recognize my phone anymore and earlier I tried doing a method with a command screen and it never got past "waiting for device.." If someone could please walk me through the process of getting my phone unbricked in detail I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried sideloading through a toolkit and through the command method but neither work. I have adt bundle windows downloaded on my laptop but i have no idea what to do with it if I can even use it in this case. Thanks in advance.

I'm also really frustrated/stuck. Following multiple guides and reflashing RUU etc, I'm up to the point that I'm trying to push or sideload a new ROM to my device. When I was doing the fastboot steps, checking fastboot devices shows my phone, but for the LIFE OF ME I cannot get my phone to show up when I type adb devices. I just can't figure it out. And so I can't get a ROM to the storage of my phone as it always says device not found. Please help! Have TWRP installed and ready to go...

Device not recognized? (If you are using Windows 8.1 this will most likely not work)
On your PC go to device manager and find your phone(usually M7WLS), right click and select properties
Select the driver tab
Select update driver
Select browse my comp
Let me pick
Look for ADB USB device or similar should be one of the first couple choices
Select MyHTC install and you should be good

On Win7 64x, it seems the drivers change states somehow. I was about to reply immediately saying I had done that (because I had like 4 times) but I went and checked and did it, and wa-la it worked immediately.

However the reason I'm trying different roms all day is because I realized no one can hear my side of the phone during a call, but I can hear other people perfectly. Doesn't make sense because I can use voice to text while messaging people perfectly, so it's definitely not the microphone. Seems like it must be a software thing. Also, if I'm not on wifi then I have no service whatsoever. Now that my phone is unbricked and I've tried multiple ROMs, I don't know what it could possibly be. A Sprint thing?? Anyone hear of this before?

What worked for me..

After reading and trying a lot of things from here and from other places, the only way I got ADB to recognize my phone was to load the TWRP recovery, go into the install new rom menu, and then push it with adb using the command: adb push [name of the rom].zip /sdcard/.

It took like 5 minutes to copy but it finally worked. I was using Windows 7 with the adb Naked Drivers installed. Just in case you guys can't get adb to see you HTC One.

DO THE FOLLOWING - (Refer to Post 1 Before you start for Picture Example)

1. Run sdk manager and update all the 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 binaries, you will see installed if you have done so

2. Reboot into TWRP

3. Go to advanced

4. Touch ADB Sideload

5. Swipe To start sideload

6. in command promt example: cd c:\android\sdk\platform-tools (that is where my adb files are at)

7. Once you have navigated to where your adb is at in command promt type adb devices

8. When you type adb devices, it should show your HTCxxjxihdjiw (whatever yours is) and Sideload which indicates you are set up properly

9. Once you see the above type adb sideload nameofzip.zip
Ok, so I tried the sideload and it didn't work. I managed to push the rom to my phone and I'm back where I started in a boot loop and this is after a Format Wipe of my internal storage... I really am lost now? Please if anyone can help... HTC ONE Sprint Tried Revolution 31.6 and ViperRom I did the wipe to free up space couldn't copy my internal storage before due to the boot loop, had tried to install Revolution sense 5.5 40.1 or whatever and realized it wasn't for sprint and when I did my recovery it started the boot loop.. now I'm right back there.. Please.. any ideas I would be forever grateful.
