I've had an iPhone for a couple years. What does this title mean? Coming from someone with a nonrooted HTC one.
This is when you are in recovery in which case this is where all the flashing happens. You use adb to push files to your sd or to your system folders. You should read up on adb and recovery, there are threads that explain what each of them are

I attempted to sideload using TWRP 2.5.0.0 and my current recovery, CWM 6.0.3.1, and it always fails... As I type adb sideload zipname.zip, the whole list of commands to use with cmd appears and it scrolls to the bottom... Anyone had this happen? Or know what I may be doing wrong? Please help, I wanna master this, should I one day really need it... Thanks in advance!

Refer to the FAQ on the first page, sideload is not active, this can be done in CWM also, I have not used CWM but I see the option to use sideload so once you have sideload working, just use the same command

So I have tried everything to get the Win 7 & Win 8 PC to see the phone so that I can side load a ROM after screwing my HTC One. I'm unable to load the ADB driver so allow me to load using the all in one tool.

Can anyone help?

Hey man go Here and Download Android SDK....

1. After Download, go to My Computer, your C Drive
2. Create a folder named Android
3. Extract the Android SDK folder inside the Android Folder you just made
You should have the following in the folder only
- eclipse
- sdk
- SDK Manager.exe

4. Double click and open SDK Manager.exe
5. under the 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 section, install all the updates possible and it will show installed next to everything under 4.1.2 and 4.2.2
6. Restart Windows after all the updates
7. Open Command Prompt
8. cd c:\android\sdk\platform-tools
9. type adb devices, if you see your phone then reboot to recovery
10. In recovery, type adb devices, it should show your device in recovery, as a last resort you can use the adb push command
11. However, if you want to tstill try sideload, click advanced
12. Swipe to start Sideload
13. type adb devices and if it shows your device and says Sideload, follow the rest of the instructions

Has made a crappy Friday even worse.

Maybe its time to start drinking?

You sure the drivers for your phone are installed?

So I did have the HTC drivers installed but the phone would not let me do anything other that go into the CWM recovery. For some reason I decided to try it another time before I went out for lunch. WHAMO I'm in bootloader mode and I'm using the all-in-one tool kit to push TWRP to the phone. Once I had that in place I was good to push the GE ROM to the phone and flashed it.

I am back on the air thanks to the great contributions of XDA members.

Can't say thanks enough. I should tell you that my "haven't bricked a phone that I couldn't recover" ego is now back in its undeserved place:D

refer to the top post of this page......step by step to ensure your adb is up to date....you need to update all the 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 stuff

EDIT* You can also refer to the 1st POST in the OP that says Before you start and click show content to see some screen shots
