Hi guys,

Do I have to enable USB debugging when I want to flash the ROM ?

Thank you
No.

USB debuggin ON for rooting. Then reboot and install 2ndinit and turn it OFF before rebooting 2 times and never turn it back ON again ;-)

Oh! and to avoid CM7 installation problems you need busybox installed (which 2ndInit v1.4.2 doesn't install) so after the 2 reboots, I install Titanium Backup and press the "Problems?" button to do so...reboot again.

Regarding the missing fixed sbf...

It is really easy to do your own fixed sbf if you have a copy of the full sbf.

- Use Motorola Android Firmware Depacker to extract files from target firmware sbf (I'm attaching it in a zip here)
- Delete CG31.smg and CG39.smg from extracted firmware folder
- Compile sbf file (with same tool) from extracted firmware folder

And you're done!

If I remember well, I beleive that the repacking keeps the same file name; so it might be a good idea to rename it to some like fixed_korean.sbf ...

Many thanks for the guide. I thought I'd give it a go with the stock Telstra ROM moving to CM7 and got the "can't mount SD" error.

Reloaded the ROM to JRDNEM .... and it worked a treat.

Very happy to be on CM7!
