How to disable Step Counter?

is there any way or option to disable the step counter? I dont need it and I think its not good for the battery life if is allways working in the backround.

is there any way or option to disable the step counter? I dont need it and I think its not good for the battery life if is allways working in the backround.

i know you can turn the notification card off by going into your fit app and sliding left til you get to the settings screen and theres an option to turn step card off.

Perhaps changing your daily step goal to "None" would disable it?
