How to Downgrade to Oreo - N9500 Bootloader3

Hi.

I just received the Pie update to my Not8 256GB.

First I would like to check the actual version of my phone. I assume it's simple a N9500, but I guess I need to double confirm. How can I be 100% sure ?

Second, current my version shows N9500ZHU4DSE7. From what I have read, it should be bootloader 3. And normally I should be able to downgrade back to Oreo. I am just unsure how, and which firmware I should use.
Also if I downgrade, will I lose the phone internal data ?

Only reason why I NEED to downgrade : the software block to prevent using 2 sims and one sd card !

N9500ZHU"4"DSE7 is the bootloader version. You are on ver. 4

You can't go back to bootloader version 3 or below! Bootloader won't allow it!

Fine the last oreo bootloader ver. That has bl. Ver 4 in the firmware.

Yes you would lose your data going from pie to oreo!

Thank you for confirming what I also managed (in the meantime) to confirm.

Losing all data is a NO go for me

I could back up everything with Smart Switch, but not the entire Secure Folder

Which firmware are you on?

If you are on the latest firmware with N9500ZU"5".... you can NOT go back to Oreo!

Or if on N9500ZU"4".... try this below....


Did you try factory resetting your device before flashing that firmware.

Use all 4 files, AP, CP, BL, and with the CSC file (not the home-CSC file).
