I just got a Sprint S3 which has the 4.3 software on it.

Android = 4.3
Baseband = L710VPUCMK3
Kernel = 3.0.31-2034598
Build Number = JSS15J.L710VPUCMK3
Hardware Version = L710.14

PC=Windows7

I downloaded the first 2 files along with the Odin3-v3.04 and I located the USB drivers elsewhere and installed them.

I copied the file tot he phone just as he says. However, in the video it shows versions 4 whereas the file downloads are version 5.

When I open Odin using Adminstrator and click on PDA to browse to the file, Odin cannot see the files. They are .zip.

Can someone help me from here? What next?

And after I get it flashed (assuming I may need to run the fix to mount storage too), will it then be possible to flash older roms or AOSP based roms?

Thanks

I solved my file issue. My bad. However, the process did not work for me. When I launch root checker I get a message saying "Security notice. An attempt to access a secure area on your phone without authorization has been blocked..."
I had the same problem but not for long. I'm assuming you got your custom recovery and Superuser installed (should be in your app drawer but won't work) but Knox has you blocked. Download SuperSU and flash it from recovery and you should see a prompt asking if you'd like the Knox stuff disabled, defeated, gotten around, or something like that. Say yes and be free. If you're worried about your warranty please read other opinions.
http://download.chainfire.eu/372/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.86.zip (I think I got it at v.1.8 but this latest should be best.) Of course you're encouraged to look this stuff up in other threads where more experienced guys than me share more experience. Post your results so others can benefit. The 4.3 Knox thing is happening all over. I'm running jdsingle76's Boost ROM with no problem at all.
