Thanks, got it done. Maybe someone should write up yet another tutorial.Look up for Siyah 2 in dev section, they got a tar version there flash it with mobile odin and you will have cwm.

There are plenty of instructions available. Guides have been available since October, 2011 in this forum. Appearantly, you have search fail. There are links in the sticky "read first" threads in each forum. Thanks, got it done. Maybe someone should write up yet another tutorial.
I didn't have any issue with root... the problem was with getting cwm flashed. No where did I see any sticky about flashing Siyah since it is the only tar rom around this place just to get a working cwm. There are plenty of instructions available. Since you went through all these, why don't you write up a quick tutorial and then go back and compare with ones that already been written and posted here and see if any difference? Thanks, got it done. Maybe someone should write up yet another tutorial.
You guys are hilarious in this section... I have been flashing phones for a long time. This is by far the most confusing scattered section on XDA. It has nothing to do with my ability, this isn't my first rodeo.Since you went through all these, why don't you write up a quick tutorial and then go back and compare with ones that already been written and posted here and see if any difference?
Man, if I'm not seeing your post, this post, I would strongly suggest you not touching your phone or even sell it and get the other that suite for your level. Anyway, good to see you overcome it.
Brother, if you claim you had already rooted and flashed multiple times (firmwares and devices) then you should have gained a lot more knowledge than any other newbie, don't you agree? You should get this done by a flick or your finger w/o hiccup. You guys are hilarious in this section... I have been flashing phones for a long time. How many phones have you rooted and flashed custom roms on. How many others phones that you have done required as much as this phone?
Yup your right... I should have been able to do it with the flick of my finger lol. I'm not sure why your getting upset and so defensive. Isn't XDA about helping others etc. All I did was mention maybe there could be a better sticky. I did read and follow instructions. No where did I see a sticky about having to flash a kernal to get CWM installed. I had to specifically ask and I got the answers I needed. I didn't think that would have been needed from my experience with every other phone I have done.Brother, if you claim you had already rooted and flashed multiple times (firmwares and devices) then you should have gained a lot more knowledge than any other newbie, don't you agree? Confusing? Sure, yes, a lot of confusing, no doubt but all of them will be clear if you read and follow the instruction step by step or just do a simple analysis.
Anyway, I'm not getting into the word-fight with you. I just hope next time when you jump to another device and start over, do read more and ask nicely rather just saying "this is horrible, someone needs to work on it" or the a-like.
Peace!
It is common courtesy, and also the rule of xdaDevelopers to give attribution when you use other people's work. You should add attribution to the One-click downloader which you linked in your tutorial from my HotFile account.Yup your right... I should have been able to do it with the flick of my finger lol. So I went ahead and made a one stop shop tutorial for rooting, CWM, unlocking. I do feel this will help others in the future sorry if you disagree.

That doesn't even make sense... except one thing your right I came in here knowing what I wanted to do, but was mind boggled with the amount different threads and approaches, dead links, scattered content, and no sticky saying you can't just flash cwm. Is it that hard to clean up some of the unrelated content, get a sticky with a full on approach. It is common courtesy, and also the rule of xdaDevelopers to give attribution when you use other people's work. The problem with your tutorial is that flashing a custom kernel to obtain ClockworkMod Recovery by using Odin or Heimdall will increment the flash counter, which is an issue that many people are sensitive about. You should also add a disclaimer in your tutorial so that people will not follow it unknowingly, and then be upset when they find out that they could have avoided incrementing the flash counter.
You may be experienced with many phones, but I think your problem is not that this forum is confusing and all the other things you claim. Rather, you came in here thinking you already know, and with a very strong filter on what you were looking for. When the information here didn't match your expectation and your filter, you failed to see what you could have seen with a more open mind.
Please just give him credit quietly. Sorry about not giving you the credit I will go ahead and update that now. I know how some of you love your praises.
Didn't know reading was so difficult. I'm pretty sure most high school graduates don't have an issue with finding the information they need within XDA. Oh....and btw...your not making many friends on here with that type of attitude you have throughout MOST of your threads and posts. Think its time to change your game plan. That doesn't even make sense... except one thing your right I came in here knowing what I wanted to do, but was mind boggled with the amount of bs threads, and dead links, scattered content. Read the stickies. They are there for a reason. The process of rooting these phones isn't too hard in my opinion. Just make sure u fully understand what your doing and how you do it the best you can.My brother has the sgs2, Im looking to upgrade to this as well. The problem is that I cant seem to root his phone with the zergrush or super one click. He has the stock ICS which Im sure my new phone will have. Ive used Odin before, but is UCKH7 gingerbread or ICS? does this method just root with no other changes to stock GB or ICS?
Ive rooted about 10 phones so Im not new to it buts just not working, is there a sure fire way to root a stock ICS sgs2?
The zergrush exploit method only works on gingerbread UCKH7, but not on gingerbread UCKK6 or ICS UCLE5 firmwares. You can root stock ICS UCLE5 using the stock plus root package posted in the development section. You flash that with Odin. Please read the warnings about the possible risk of the eMMC bug in the stock UCLE5 kernel. My brother has the sgs2, Im looking to upgrade to this as well. Have you tried the third option with one click odin? That is what I used and was super easy. I added that method to my full tutorial for rooting, unlocking phone, getting clockworkmod installed and working, oh and resetting the flash counterMy brother has the sgs2, Im looking to upgrade to this as well. I apologize to anyone that thinks I had an attitude. That was not my intentions. I was simply trying to create a quick and easy to follow tutorial. I don't see the problem with that. The biggest issue people had was the clock counter and I posted a quick fix that resets the counter and removes the gti9100 and yellow triangle. But everyone came into my tutorial with attitudes about it being to easy etc... and got the thread closed. Others came into my thread with attitudes... I was simply standing ground and trying to explain my reason for the tutorial. I know how to read and I am a college grad actually.Didn't know reading was so difficult.
