how to edit the kernal to make secondary mic works with phone calls ?

my device primary mic is not working for phone calls but the secondary mic works while recording videos . and i think its possible to edit the kernal or install custom kernal to make the secondary mic works for phone calls instead of the primary mic ..help pleas if you know how to do it .
