This is currently not possible, because you need interop unlock to have registry access. Interop unlock can be achieved by flashing a custom ROM, and this isn't possible yet, because we cannot yet flash custom images to the phone.

True, but most people don't have the unlocked bootloader...
not true again,

Q: I've a Lumia 800 or 710 can I Interop-Unlock it?
A: The short answer is yes if you have a Lumia 710 - you must firstly downgrade your bootloader - and "maybe" for the Lumia 800, because only some of them can be Interop-Unlocked at the moment.

Hey man, I know my stuff. You're confusing the Lumia 710 with the 800... The 710's bootloader can be unlocked and thus flashed with custom ROM's. The 800 CANNOT be unlocked and with a locked bootloader you CANNOT flash any custom ROM on it. And yes, there are custom ROM's, but only very few people are lucky enough to have the unlocked bootloader which was a mistake by Nokia.

pardon my foolishness if I'm wrong, yes, Nokia dload is locked, but shouldn't it be unlocked after you downgrade to Qualcomm?
