Carrier aggregation (LTE+/4G+) is when the phone uses multiple bands together to increase throughput and bandwidth. Obviously it's better on. You shouldn't disable it, it's on by default. Can somebody please enlighten me on what carrier aggregation actually is, is it better on or off.. I did everything in the guide and have achieved results, also have gotten into the 4636 menu using Google phone dialer which I couldn't b4.. If I put it in NR only I get NR SA but only 40 down which seems weird. Full bars. As much as full bars can ever actually mean anything other than what they want.
And curious about why whenever I see whether data and voice are LTE or NR or whatever it may be there's also in between "Override Network" listed... And wondering how that's chosen or whatever decides that. I'm just trying to achieve a little better down speeds. I'm in between 5G and 4G LTE but for some reason the speeds are horrendous. Like we're talking sometimes 14 down and 1 up..
I'm on U1 and when I try beta the service menu is still working without doing all the steps again.Note20 Ultra users. Have any of you upgraded to android 13 and still have access to the Service Menu? I'm afraid to update to Android 13 so I have the update on pause right now with 10s left because I lost access to the service menu when I updated to Android 12 back in January and only got it back 2 days ago thanks to the thread.
If you already upgraded to Android 13, did the Service Menu transfer to Android 13 or did you had to use the computer to unlock the Service Menu again?
By the way, I have the T-mobile Note20 Ultra SM-N986U which is network unlocked.
Thanks. Things tend to change between beta revisions and official updates. If you upgrade to the official Android 13 please let me know if you still have access to the Service Menu. I'll stay on Android 12 for now until I get confirmation.I'm on U1 and when I try beta the service menu is still working without doing all the steps again.
Edit: I mean the PC steps using samfw.
If newer models can still access it I'm positve service menu will still work after the update on N20U.Thanks. Things tend to change between beta revisions and official updates. Does anyone know if this would work on SM-G906U1, the s22+ us version?
It should work from the Galaxy S20 and up. It's not going to brick your phone if that's what you are worried about. When ever in doubt, make a backup first. Then read through the thread and try to find answers.
Did you try any of the steps for the guide? S908e does support that band...and following the guide could get you what you needed.Hello everyone. I have a problem . I bought a Samsung S22 Ultra S908E Snapdragon. This phone does not have LTE 800 band listed. Is there a possibility to unlock LTE 800 mhz? Thank you all. I'm new to the forum.
After I have enabled all 5g, can't choose
Lte/3g/2g again. I also tried *#*#4636#*#* still nothing
Any solution to this?
Check if there's an asterisk on this opton. Disable it

I noticed you're on FKR CSC. Try to change your CSC to VZW or XAA with SamFW first, then try the unlock secret codes steps.I'm at a loss, I cannot get SamFW Tool to get past the "Waiting for DIAG" part. I have Samsung USB Drivers installed, and USB debugging enabled. The SamFW tool is able to read my phone state, phone number, software version, and it's connected... as far as the phone's firmware goes, I should be okay.. Under service provider software version it shows:
SAOMC_SMS908U1_OYM_FKR_13_0015 FKR/FKR,XAR/XAA
When I get to the "Waiting for DIAG" portion, I punch in #*0808# and select " DM+Modem+ADB" and hit okay.... Nothing happens with SamFW... It still remains at Waiting for DIAG. I cannot get past this point.
Flashing from canada firmware to US isn't possible.Hello , did I understand correctl?
If we have a canadian,We have first to go to US variance software and do all the process to unlock the bands ,
My question is can we go back to Canadian firmware and having the bands unlocked ?
Sometimes, this will work directly on Canadian firmware. You might not need to flash US firmware. It worked for me on my Canadian S22U without first flashing US XAA. Try the instructions first on your Canadian firmware before flashing to see if it works and save you the extra step.Hello , did I understand correctl?

Actually Canadian and US variants are the same phone, you can freely flash U1 firmware on W phones and vice versa.Flashing from canada firmware to US isn't possible.
Just change it to XAA or XAC using samfw without sim then do the trick.
Hey bud , thank you for your reply , I knew that we can go from CA to US variance and vice versa .Sometimes, this will work directly on Canadian firmware. You might not need to flash US firmware. And yes if you flash US firmware then do the trick and flash Canadian back, the menu will still be unlocked. I've tested that. Though if you flash between American and Canadian firmwares, you will lose all data so keep that in mind.

Everytime you reboot the device...do an update, you have to follow the steps again to get System Shell. Also...with the ability to enable the PRECONFIG menu...everything you set in there stays set.Does method 2 work even after a factory reset? or even an update? or if there are csc changes from an update will it revert?
You might have to re-do the process since the CSC is updated. Yes this method still works on One UI 5. I am on One UI 5 stable and it is working fine on S908U1 (XAA).Anyone that is updating the S22 Ultra to Android 13 and One UI 5, does it keeps the setting or you need to re do the whole process? Also does this method still work? I'm affraid of losing 5G after I update it.
