Is this modification on P6 and others also working on 6a? Are these two similar/same with modifications.

I can confirm the Magisk Module two button solution works nicely on P6 A13 rooted

With the latest update to the Pixel 6a this no longer works. When I swipe up for app switching the current app shrinks down but it never goes into the mode where I can swipe side to side.

Yeah, it seems that I spoke too soon when I posted that it works for me. I thought it did at first, but it doesn't. It seems that the app switcher works properly if I minimize the app and then swipe up on the pill button, but going directly in to the app switcher is indeed broken.

I now think that this may be a bug with the app switcher in the March 2023 update, as the app switcher bug happens when trying to use three-button navigation as well.

I use PixelExperience on my old Pixel 3 XL, and the two button option is available without the module. I thought that this was a standard thing for all PixelExperience distributions. Is that not the case for your phone? If you haven't already checked, then it might be worth doing so.

Oh, alright. I haven't tried out the March update yet, so I didn't know that. I guess the developers found that it was broken and so they decided to rip it out.

That said, the app switcher bug with 2 button navigation is happening to me when I try to use 3 button navigation as well, so I think it may be an issue with the latest update.

I now think that this may be a bug with the app switcher in the March 2023 update, as the app switcher bug happens when trying to use three-button navigation as well.
