How to enable VoLTE after Android Nougat Update on HTC One A9

I am facing a strange issue after updating to Nougat. The VoLTE functionality is missing and I can't make or receive calls since mine is an LTE only network. On Marshmallow, there was a setting for VoLTE but in the update 2.18.617.21, the same is missing. While checking threads, I came across *#*#4636#*#* to check the settings. There too it shows "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" meaning VoLTE is enabled. But still, I cant make or receive calls. In some post there was a mention of enhanced LTE services in settings, so I searched for it in settings and there indeed is a setting of "Enhanced LTE Services", but when I tap on it, it takes me to "More" settings under "Wireless & Networks". May be the setting is missing or not showing. Please advise me what to do. It's urgent. Thanks

The problem was specific to Nougat I suppose. I downgraded to Marshmallow and it's working fine now. Used the 1.15.617.20 firmware and exe file to downgrade. Also, the experience is more fluid on Marshmallow. I will highly recommend it over Nougat. Strange life. Asked lot of questions about updating to Nougat, then when I had it, it wasn't worth the time and effort. The phone is great and works charm on Marshmallow.

Sorry bro for the late reply. I saw your message that time but after the reset didn't install the xda app so forgot to reply. Are you able to do downgrade or need help. Even if you don't, following is what I done to downgrade from nougat to marshmallow.

I downloaded the firmware zip for 1.57.617.20 from this link and downloaded the 1.57.617.20 .exe file from collection RUU thread. First i copied the firmware.zip to sd card and flashed it by going into download mode (pressing vol down and power key). After that I ran the .exe file from laptop. You need to have HTC Sync manager installed for detecting your device. Then the device took some time and rebooted with marshmallow. Now i ignore update messages.

Hope it helps.

Thank you thank you thank you so much bro
...now happy with volte :D
Glad I could help. Marshmallow works much better on this mobile. Stay away from Nougat. If you get the update notification, just go to settings >> about >> Software update and hit back button immediately before the software search completes. This will remove the update notification temporarily. I use this once a day to avoid the update notification.
