Did you ever get this working? I noticed nobody responded to this since you posted it. I have never messed with the band frequency settings myself and was not aware that it was even necessary. I didn't even think that using patched framework .jar files was necessary until after you get voice and data working. I thought it was the last step only to get things working more smoothly and to get faster 3G speeds. After *LOTS* of guide reading, umpteeen different software packages and doing things on *3* different operating systems, I have everything set up on the HTC that is specfied. I've got the MEID, HA/AAA keys, mobile IP settings, MIN. MDN, you name it. Using CM7.2 with patched framework.jar files. Everything reads as if it is all transferred correctly. And yet, when I try to make a call, all i get is this "You Are Roaming"
notice. I've tried both the default Sprint PRL and the default Virgin Mobile PRL. The HTC is set to "Home Only" in its roaming preferences. I've turned off *every* band preference except the 1900Mhz BC1 CDMA band, as that was the only way the Optimus V can communicate. Still, no joy.
I don't think my EVO roaming pref was set to "Home Only". I would think that a "You are roaming" message would be something to do with the device trying to connect to the wrong towers per your settings. Something between the two not being copacetic maybe. Probably something simple like that. I am wondering if anyone is still messing around with the old EVO 4G. I purchased one two years ago and decided to finally use it and am trying to get it working on my VM account myself.I've read *all 75 pages* of one 4G flash guide on this forum and *all 36* of this one. Nobody else seems to have reported this problem. Anyone have any idea what I should look at?
As for me and my problems/issue
I am trying to switch an EVO 4G over to my VM account and have not had complete success. I had a problem for a while finding any Kyrocera drivers. I then found some or what I think were the drivers as the description said so and installed them on an XP system. None of the tools pick the Kyrocera donor up and DM doesn't show any port for it either. I check and USB was turned "ON" and deuggin turned 'ON' on the Kyrocera. But, it won't show up.
I put the HA key in that I found from the thread as I read it was not device specific but can't get the Kyrocera connected to get the AAA key. Not sure if it was even programed with one as this is a cheap phone on a simple talk and text only plan. I figured the HA key would provide 1x data and make the text work. Well actually the text msg work but it is charging me 1 minute per text instead of unlimited as I am supposed to get on that account, so something isn't working on the 3G data end. Calls come in and out just fine. I think I got voice mail notification. but whenever I slide 'UP' to not accept a call it charges me a minute also. I also get the error code 67 message constantly
If anyone knows exactly what needs to be done i would much appreciate it info.
Also it has no data connection on it so I am sure 3G is not working at all.
Thanks
EDIT: I actually found a driver that is a x64.msi file that I am going to try and install on WIn7 64 bit machine and see if I can get the Kyrocera to show up and read the AAA keys tonight.
As a side note, I noticed that after keying in the data code , the ESPT settings (which I don't understand if they are incorrect or correct) say the following:
Data Profile
DSA Server URL: H**ps//dsa.spcsdns.net:443/dsa/
Advanced
MMS Server URL: h**p://mms.sprintpcs.com (shouldn't this say vmoble or something like that ?)
WiMAX
NIA: ************@sprintpcs.com (shouldn't this say vmoble or something other than sprint?)
