***How To Flash Files In ODIN & Factory Reset Note 3***

I broke my volume key and need to odin to stock before attempting warranty work. I can get to safestrap if that helps but I don't know how to odin without volume button. Please help. Total panic here.

Go to play store and get quick boot. Must be rooted to do

Quickboot can put you in download mode so you can odin

Go to download mode then Connect to computer

Hmmm. I can't think of a way to manipulate menu movement without an operating vol button... I'll look around...

Couldn't he boot into recovery and then do download mode for the menu when u click reboot

I found another quickboot app that got me to downloader. Odin worked but now I get custom lock display even though back to stock. I guess I'm screwed warranty wise?

After odin did u factory reset and clear partitions in Stock recovery?

i did not factory reset but i thought odin did that. how do i clear partitions?
of course since im no longer rooted i cannot make selections in recovery. i will try the factory reset

never mind... oddly tbe third restart cured it. no more unlock. i don't know if asurian cares anyway

Asurian doesn't but only Samsung matters about knox

had to go to asurian. purchased phone oct 8 2013. verizon said warranty expired. i don't know if warranty would have covered volume key anyway but if it did 3 weeks cost me a hundred bucks deductible. anyway asurian claims i get a brand new note 3 not a refurb so its not all bad. now i need to figure out if i can root the new phone. im sure it will. come updated to kitkat

thanks so much for help and patience. i was in fully fledged panic mode mixed with feeling terrible about breaking my phone in the first place

No issues with towelroot for me. As long as the update was before June 3rd ur fine. I think that's the date. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Towelroot should still work. You may get really lucky and if they have no refurbished or new ones they will send u a note 4. A friend of mine had the happened to him. Lucky s.o.b
