Towelroot should still work. You may get really lucky and if they have no refurbished or new ones they will send u a note 4. A friend of mine had the happened to him. Lucky s.o.b
Thanks but I asked. She said they have plenty of note 3 in stock because many stores still sell them

Factory Reset

I am trying to factory reset (stock) my Verizon note 3 and have a few questions before i begin. Here is what i am running on my phone:

Retail Version
Rooted & Safestrap 3.75
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: N900VVRUCNC4
Kernel version: 3.40
Alliance Rom build 1
Base version: AllianceROM_N900VVRUCNC4

I will need NC4 Full Stock Tar: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358549642 correct?
Will i need to unroot? remove safestrap? Modem? my guess is that i won't need to flash the modem since i am already running with my current setup? anything else i might be missing besides what's on the instructions? I will donate $$$ if anybody can guide me/help me do this process, Thank you.

By factory reset do you mean : OEM from VZW?

If it's to return the device to OEM, all that is needed is to boot into android download, see below :D

PERFORM A FACTORY RESET WIPING ENTIRE PHONE

This should return your device to "out-of-the-box" newness (remove ext SDcard)

- Turn off device

- Simultaneously hold VOL UP, HOME, POWER

- Release POWER when you see the Note 3 logo

- Release VOL UP & HOME when you see the System Recovery screen

- VOL UP after warning

- Using VOL DOWN choose WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET

- Select using POWER button

- Using VOL DOWN choose "Delete ALL User Data"

- Select with POWER button

- Highlight REBOOT SYSTEM

- Select REBOOT SYSTEM NOW using POWER button

-Your device is now OEM Stock and ready to ship for warranty purposes, OR you can start over with a totally OEM stock device HERE> How To ROOT 4.3 & NC4 OTA, Install Recovery & Roms - Verizon RETAIL Note 3

Cool thanks, i will try this. Once i successfully do this i will donate to you. I am actually switching over to tmobile to get the Nexus 6 but they require me giving them my verizon phone to them. Which step do you recommend better? OEM for warranty purposes or totally OEM? Thanks again.

I usually pull the sd card, perf WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET, always worked perfect for me :D

If you have safestrap don't you need to unistall custom recovery within safestrap first?

MJE or NC4

Since this post was created you want us to use BeansTowns MJE stock tar file to return device to stock? What about NC4 can that one be used or is there an advantage to stick with MJE stock tar?
Thanks,

Depends on what your device came with. If it came NC4, don't revert it to MJE if you're turning it in :p

Okay fair enough :) What if you have tried to root and accidentally tripped knox, will this tutorial fix that issue as well and return knox back to 0? Or whatever it needs to be on for the warranty to be good?
Thanks,

I do not think this will reset knox. Your best shot might be trying to revert your device to OEM stock, but I doubt that will work... A Google search might produce a better idea :D

oh I didn't trip my knox, I was just curious if I were ever in that situation ;) One question, does installing a custom ROM on a custom ROM slot in SafeStrap drain the hell out of your battery? Because it's been killing mine and that's the only thing that I can think of that changed on my phone recently.

Ifyou're on SS 3.75, many folks, myself included, have had terrible batt life on rom slot 1-4....

flash and keep apps and data

Hi. Is it possible not to factory reset/ wipe data when flashing a newer rom? The reason I am asking is because I want to flash Lollipop on my Note 3 as Samsung keeps forgetting to send it to me OTA or via Kies. But I don't want to lose all apps and data. Thanks in advance.
