I am getting a Complete(Write) Failed message every time I try to downgrade to android 4.4.1 using Odin with my Galaxy S5, At&t, does this no longer worker for this phone? It has been updated to 5.5.1
This is a Note 3 forum... Not an S5 forum, I can only tell you that the Note 3 can not be downgraded from 5 to 4...I guess the S5 is similar.

NOT fdr?

Hope I'm in the right/best place for this question:

I'm trying to uplift somebody else's Verizon Note 3. It's been OTA'd(?) to 5.0, used to be rooted on 4.4.2 but now it's lost it. SuperSU can't find a binary. I don't know how/by what method it was rooted to start with, but I know it had root before the OTA.

But the more immediate issue is the phone is getting more and more squirrely, and I'm thinking about reflashing the stock 5.0 with Odin3. But we don't want to blow out the data and current setup. If I really need to FDR I can backup all the necessities, and I realize the best chance of a fix is to start everything from scratch. But is there any way at all to "refresh" 0F1 without losing data? Just to try that first?

I am trying a hard reset and failing with error message "ODIN: Invalid id ext4 image" I read I had to install a PIT file through ODIN. The PIT run is being successful bu the "AP .tar " file is still failing
