[HOW TO] Flash FROYO properly with everything working

I stopped after step 6 because I don't need rooting or deodexing and everything works fine. Only one optical thing:
I have Swype 2 installed and it's black, but the white version from the original European firmware looks much better in my mind.
Is there any old or patched version which is white and I can install?
I backed up "Swype.apt" but it doesn't want to install.

If i play music(It doesn't matter if I do this with speaker or earphones) there are many troubles and this is really annoying. I hope you can fix it for me.

Now it's fine for me, too. i don't know where the problem was.
I rooted my device now to remove all the useless apps but why should I deodexing the system? As far as I know it's only for theming the GUI - which I will not do.

If you remove apks and you didn't deodex, there might be some odex files from the apks remaining in your system/app/ directory. I don't think they have any negative influence though except taking up some space.

to get rid of them you'd have to adb sth. like:

rm /system/app/MyNet.apk
rm /system/app/Mynet.odex

Some users report a speed increase after deodexing. I didn't do any benchmarking before deodexing so I'm not sure if it's the case for me too.

The rom works very well (thank you), there is just one major problem and that's about the signal strenght of the 3g (perhaps even 2g). Places where, before upgrading rom, have had some signal now are full without line... so i went back to 2.34 and everything now is ok. Do you know what can it be?

Yes, I have the same feeling and I'm comming from 2.21 too.

This app might help: ItfunzBaseBandSwitcher.apk
You need root.
For T-Mobile usa:美版基带
For EU phones: 欧版基带
Click and reboot.

If not, maybe it works to copy the radio from the 2.34 rom to Froyo.

About the thanks button, no idea. I've been looking for it too.

YEAH ! I have this too ! SO ANNOYING !

How do you get rid of that ? The device is dexoxed and rooted. Got rid of the chinese softwares like you did..
