Thanks to all. I managed to flash G960U1UEU3ARK5 over my AT&T G960U and all is good now. Did a factory reset before flashing to ensure all went smoothly.

Yes it will only debloat the device but it would still be locked to your specific carrier

I will still be able to make calls and send texts, and it won't void my warranty, correct? Thanks!

Converting to the U1 does a little more than just remove carrier related bloat. It will also potentially make some carrier features no longer work, like WiFi Calling.

OK thanks! I think that's a trade-off I'm willing to make. If I decide it's not worth it in the future, could I flash back to Sprint U and reverse the problem?

Great thank you! One more quick Q if you're able to answer. I have the Sprint G960USQS3BRK3. The latest Sprint firmware I can find is G960USQU3ARG7. If I decide to go back to Sprint firmware, will that be OK since they're both v3 bootloader? Or do I need to find exactly what I have right now?

As long as the firmware you are flashing to has the v3 bootloader or newer, you can successfully flash. The 3 in 3BRK3 and 3ARG7, is the bootloader version.

I am looking to download U1 firmware on my T-Mobile Galaxy S9. I am using this device on a non-US carrier.
In the following page https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9/SM-G960U1/ , I see so many variants. For a U1 firmware, isn't XAA the only firmware available ? What are the Verizon or T -mobile firmware variants under the U1 firmware section.

Can someone please clarify ? I am confused on the correct firmware to download
